Everyone else agrees that the main characters are probably Kargob, the God of Darkness and the Seven Demon Swords, who cause some kind of trouble for almost every other character.

Qwest?Qwest!When are you going to finish Steel Tribe?Realistically, serious graphic novels are made by teams of people. Sandman and Watchmen were made by teams of 7-8 people who had funding to do it full-time. I don't foresee that for myself in 2026, but let's stay open to anything.

Current Roadmap

Swords Season 8 is taking a short break while I finish the Patreon Swor'nament, returning with Episode 976 when that has concluded. There's a lot to wrap up by Episode 1000, when the big thing happens. You're gonna see Kargob and panDEMONium. You're gonna see Quest Sprout. You're gonna see Choplet. You're gonna see The Wizard Ball. But most importantly, there will be lots and lots more Swords!

I will be out of the office from December 20th for some well-deserved crunch rest - Sticker Club and Ko-Fi Shop will be unavailable, but Backerkit will continue shipping Cut The Deck; and Threadless/TeePublic will continue as well

The Patreon Swor'nament Finals will conclude the 16 OC battle and then we can have a fun discussion about who should become canon to the main story forever

A Dungeons & Dragons project early 2026

Swords 8th Anniversary is March 5th, I'm aiming to reach Episode 1000 at the same time

Some things I'd like to do nextI have plans for the future, but importantly, the stuff above has to get done first. Because I said I would.

Swords: ReforgedAfter Swords 1000, I intend to remaster The Bread Knight storyline into a 24 page, chronological, high-effort, physical book. Your support will largely dictate if I try to do more of these, but if I could remaster one story every 4 months this way, I think it would get the series into a really healthy place in terms of accessibility for newcomers, marketability, synergy with Cut The Deck and addressing a lot of the feedback I get in each annual survey.It's also an opportunity to make nice character sheets and slightly redesign some characters with the power of hindsight. All useful assets for making video games and TV shows and more.More Swords : Cut The DeckI've listened to all the feedback. I have a vision for the next iteration of the game. There was some logistical stuff to work out but we're past that now. There is art ready to go for a hundred more cards. It's just a matter of putting all the pieces together.Swords: The Video GameIt's been a slow journey. We have a bunch of prototypes but not a lot of leverage to expand the team and I'm not prepared to do a Kickstarter while there are things that we still owe the community from last time. In a perfect world I'd drop a tiny, finished game on April 1st - but I don't see that coming together in time.

Choplet's Dungeon isn't part of this equation - its an RPG Maker game that I'm mostly making for fun and entirely by myself. It's a little low on my to-do list right now.

As we head into Qwestmas and the New Year, I just want to say thank you again to everyone for supporting me. I know 2025 hasn't been ideal for most people and a lot of my plans were bent out of shape too, but it means a lot that you're here and I'm certainly not going anywhere. I'm still trying to learn and grow as a person; while learning and growing as an artist, comedian(?) and storyteller. I really do believe in my heart that Swords has all the right elements to explode in popularity on a level I can't quite fully imagine, but it just needs some tightening up first. Your support absolutely makes that easier to do.
