What are you thinking of S9 of R&M so far?

Matthew Wills

Mortgully: The Last Rickforest actually made me a bit emotional, which hasn't happened for a while now. The spaghetti episode from an earlier season didn't do it for me. I really liked the Kung Fu moves that rewrote the rules of reality, it's very Swords style humour. Overall it's clearly a soft reboot type of season where nothing much is supposed to happen to the meta plot, which I appreciate but I know a lot of people are hating on it. Solid season overall.

I just caught up to, and finished, S8 last week. I’ll give a drop in on S9 in that case, thanks!

are you okay.. ? maybe it's just the tism' but this post gives me "i'm sad/ sick of it" vibes. 🥺💕

Matthew Wills

It needs to be okay for me to have an unproductive week without explaining myself, I think

blyatbrat

oh.. uh.. sorry i guess..

It felt a bit rough coming out the gate, but definitely found it's legs as the season went on. Seemed like they were trying to tap the old episodic vibe without mashing the reset button on the growth of the characters, and for the most part they seemed to get it.

Nice! I just watched the season finale today. There were some really strong episodes that I enjoyed. The last one’s ending was sad lol

Yay one piece reference
