i mean edison called it, who wouldve thought he had a whole family..... besides every gay on an app that sees a random "too good to be true" guy, without a profile pic and without a real name.... i think the ending makes sense more than likely he couldnt get that ex back even if he wanted to im sure he already found someone else. this main character is just a guy living his life as a gay, i think thats why they say this series is more a lgbt+ story not a bl, there's not someone waiting on his beckon call, they broke up his ex moved on probably with some that treats him better. now what would make this a BL is if next season the ex whom is going back to korea? or where ever they are? was thinking about him too and they got back together. but having good friends by your side is important to see especially for those who cant find what they're looking for. and a 10 year relationship is actually a great accomplishment if im being honest.

i think go young's mindset at the end about failing to love/not knowing how to love was more-so an acceptance that he has to heal his own trauma before he can properly be in a healthy relationship than it was him giving up. much of the reason go young and gyuho didn't work out despite being a good match is that go young is incapable of receiving love without these mental barriers of self deprecation caused by the numerous, unresolved conflicts in his life (kylie, his strained relationship with his mother, his father's absence, even namgyu's death or youngsoo's treatment of him). he doesn't communicate properly with gyuho because he doesn't believe they'll work out and he's already absorbed in their "end" rather than trying to find a way to make the relationship work. in the final episode, it feels like go young finally examines this through his memories with gyuho and in the future he will be able to experience a healthier love 🥹 this was fun to rewatch w u guys!
