Oh to be young

I'm ace and some type of aro for context. In highschool, I had a similar experience with a close guy friend. He said he liked me, he was also a player and even though I knew that it didn't really put me off. I was very self aware back then so I knew I didn't want to date even though I did really like him (looking back I think it was queer platonic attraction on my end rather than romantic). I didn't know what being aroace was back then so you can imagine this was kinda confusing for me; I liked him but didn't want to date nor be physically intimate. He never asked for exclusively though so it worked, we were very, very close and people thought we were dating and physically it went as far as kisses. He flirted with other people maybe did more than that and so other people would tell me as though he was cheating. I didn't care, never got jealous, all I knew is that he liked me and I liked him. It was honestly the best "relationship" Ive had so far I'm only 21 though. It's really interesting to see how being aroace influenced my experience because watching this episode I kept thinking "Couldn't be me, fourmod needs to run" but then I thought "Oh wait, I already did that". I'll give myself a pass though because watching this I can really put myself in his shoes and feel/see the difference in the type of attraction. Here it's very obvious fourmod will get hurt; he's already feeling jealousy but in my case I never experienced any jealousy even at the thought of him being physically intimate with other people. This episode really put into perspective how differently allo people navigate the world compared to me and gave me a lot to think about.
