Hiii!!

First post of the month! yaaay!!

This release includes:

🎮 Split up verison

🎮 Precolored 3MF version

🎮 Keychain with 3MF

This is a fun and quick little container to store your things, the split up version is great if you rather print and then glue together, the 3MF version of the Lid is great if you rather print it all at once.

The tolerance of the lid should be tight enough that the lid does not slide off once placed in, you might see that the more you use it the easier it will be to open and close, from personall experience I found that even after repetitive use, and the lid becoming looser I was able to keep it in place by pushing it tight against the top. I don't recommend printing the lid with a brim as that might make it more difficult to slide into the container. If you are having a hard time with getting it to fit, rubbing a bit of sand paper on either side of the lid will help!

I have made a quick youtube short of putting the split up version together. The glue i used in this was too thick and was making a bit of a mess, I recommend going with a thinner glue, the brand I used was Gorilla glue.

Edit to add: I got a suggestion for a blank screen! so i added it to the zip! If you want a blank screen version just redownload it from the download post 🥰🥰

Omg! My 6 yo is so into “classic” game consoles. We also need an nes inspired version 🤞

Julie Fernandes

You're my idol!!! These are amazin 👏🏽 🔥

Richard Moore

Game Boy Advanced inspired next 👍

Jana Barroga

can this be scaled down to make earrings?

Michele

Does the keychain one open too?

Mawk

Got one printing now, I love the parts for the "face", but would also really like a flat version just in case the parts get caught on something and get ripped off. And scaling down gets a bit tricky with gluing things in place.

Christine

ooh I haven’t thought about adding a blank screen! I updated the zip with a blank version, you can grab it by redownloading! Thank you for the suggestion 🥰🥰

Mawk

Not necessarily blank, but that does provide options. I flat version with all the eyes, mouth and buttons integrated into it. I know that not everyone has an AMS but this can also be done with Z-hop (I did this on my Enders). I make a lot of light boxes where the light box has the details imbedded into the design, this would be the same concept where the first few layers have all the colors changes then the rest is a single color. This keeps it flat and lets some of the neat PEO/PEY build plates designs really pop.

Samantha Young

BTW if you get residue left behind from super glue, use veggie oil to get rid of it. Speaking from experience lol

Christine

The 3MF version has all the parts on it, you should be able to open it! I know it opens in cura! Just make sure that your slicing tolerance is set to “middle”

Mawk

I will message you, I think we are a bit off here. I do love this design and will definitely be printing a lot of these.

Jennifer Bigley-Hobbie

I just made a keychain with glow in the dark! LOVE IT! Waiting for son to get home from school to give it to him!

Shei

Omg! Love it a 100 times😍🤭

Robin Hebert

It's so adorable. I used the colors pink, blue and purple!

Learical

What glue did you use in the video? I have an (expensive) acrylic glue but it's very watery and hard to work with.

Robin Hebert

I printed it out but the blue in the corner showed through the pink. Help! Also if you print it all at once should it open?

Christine

It’s gorilla glue! I find that it was a little bit too thick for this purpose thinner glue might actually be better haha

S M

Has anyone tried to print this at 150% no matter what I did the base was either faulty or didn't stick to the bed. I tried several plates and no luck. I have just put it back to 100% and it's printing fine. The lid was ok at 150% but not the back

Christine

Hii!! Thanks for letting me know! I’ve fixed it and you can redownload it from the download post 🥰

olivia childs

i cant find the file so i can print this

olivia childs

i cant print this the zip file in not on the screen

Christine

Hiii!! try Closing your browser and reopen it, the make sure you expend the post, the link is a at the bottom of the post 🥰

Nita Schoonover

I may or may have not made a giant one... The bigger you go the looser the lid is btw lol

Christine

that sounds awesome!! if you have discord you can post it there!! the tolerances will increase as you scale models up for sure! If your wanting to attempt it again you can scale the lid 2% smaller then the bottom part and that should make it better!

Update. Couple keychains and 4 containers sold pretty quickly

Regina DeLisle

I just printed this and the z lines are showing a lot, I'm kinda new so I'm wondering if there is a setting to fix it? Or maybe pla silk isn't right for this?? 😭

Christine

hii!! what slicer and printer are you using? There might be a couple things you could try!

Regina DeLisle

Hi! ❤️ I'm using bambu software and a bambu A1 mini, I tried messing around with layer patterns (?) and it helps a little but it's mostly lines around the buttons and eyes 😞

Christina Bolch

Hi!! Love this design!! I just printed the lid and the case at 100%, and the lid doesn't click in at all - it just slides right back out. Any tips? Should I scale the case down slightly? Making these for party favors for my son's bday party this weekend, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
