I haven't yet, but he unfortunately wasn't hiding-- he was combat with a dryad and her blink hounds graced by Bela, the Winter Fey that hunts Clover. He'd grown into a mage that shouldn't be approached recklessly, but he was already wounded, he was surrounded, and if the Nautiloid wasn't attracted by the magic Clover was wildly hemorrhaging trying to stay alive, he probably wouldn't have made it. In spite of the cost, it did save his life.
