Fav time of the Addie Chan is here! Shit, I forgot the question I asked.

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Addie(and Ollie)! 😊 Thanks so much for another great monthly Q&A. Always enjoy a guest appearance by Ollie. Have a great day today! 😊

Soonish?!? YAY! Ollie!!! Hi Ollie! Hi Ollie! Never enough Ollie!!! lol LotR YES! Here's one: Space Camp (1986) Music by John Williams! Fox & the Hound! lol Boring?!? BOO! The Wizard of Oz (1939)? Ollie at the Dog Park!!! YES!!! That's fine! I take it your mom didn't force you to re-play Patsy Kline, or Loretta Lynn, or many other songs over and over and over and over?!? I guess that's why I wore out the "Star Trek: Generations" (1994) VHS lol Here's one more apocalypse type "Jericho" (2006).

Aldo Gonzales

No. Please give us some room. I have to keep refraining from asking my questions because you’re always taking up space.

If you’re afraid of waking up Ollie for a visit you should know that all dogs seem to fall asleep again in no time. Tell Oll-E Bill-E said Hi! There’s never enough Ollie content. The only thing I look forward to about more Happy Gilmore is that there’s supposed to be something special for Carl Weathers. Anybody: “What’s your fav…” Addie: “Lord of the Rings!” It takes one small LEGO set, from start to finish, that can get you hooked. The downside, it can get expensive. Considering your timeline, you have to be incredibly busy. I’m happy you’re going on a vacation soon, you deserve it. Shōgun has been phenomenal. Pass on saltburn. An Ollie stream? Maybe April 25th-ish? 27th at the latest. Take care of yourself, Addie!!

Thank you as always for your answers Addie, and especially for reacting to “We Are ODST” at the end. I’m so glad you liked it, definitely made my day.

Phil Stubblefield

"...I forgot the question..." 🤣 I resemble that remark!

Hey, Addie! Thanks for another enjoyable Q&A, especially with the spotlight on Ollie! FYI, the plot of the film adaptation of "Little Shop of Horrors" (1986) differs from that of the original stage production, so it might still be worth a reaction. I for one would *love* to see it, especially to hear your insights as a musical theater nerd. OTOH, I know that musicals can be a bear to get by the YouTube censors... PS: I first wrote this before finishing the video, but thanks for the quick reaction to "We Are ODST". As you may be able to tell from my avatar, I'm a long-time Halo fan!

Alex

Thank you for your honest answer about the Ready Player One book :) I agree that people probably prefer whichever one they read/watched first.

PHILLIP CORNISH

Great to see Ollie also. Have a great Vacation Addie or as i call them. Holibobbies 😀😘

(take two) Happy Wednesday, Addie. Thank you so much for answering my questions. Here are my thoughts on certain things. 1. The reason why most musical movies nowadays aren't marketed as musical movies is due to a notion by the studios that the general public hates them and gets easily triggered by them. Musical movies aren't an easy sell these days, especially in a post pandemic environment. It just needs a better marketing strategy. One that doesn't involve manipulating the general public into seeing something that they may not like. 2. Yes, there was a music note in the Mean Girls logo for the new musical movie that came out. 3. Pollen allergies in the spring is a living hell that I often endure every year. 4. If I could suggest a movie trailer for you to react to, then it's the trailer for Twisters (2024). 5. I'm actually glad for you to upload only two videos a week. Your mental health is a priority. 6. If I could have a 4 movie marathon, then for Halloween, it's the first four Scream movies. For Christmas, it's the first two Die Hard movies, Enemy of the State (1998) and Violent Night (2022). 7. Saltburn (2023) & Poor Things (2023) won't work for your channel at all, IMO. Maybe if some ask. 8. John Williams & Hans Zimmer are two of the greatest movie composers ever lived. For me, my favorite movie composers are Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe. My favorite Zimmer soundtrack is Supermarine from Dunkirk (2017) and my favorite Balfe soundtrack is Don't Shoot A Cop from Ambulance (2022). 9. I often rewatch movies that look good to me 10. Popeyes is my dad's favorite chicken restaurant alongside Bojangles. 11. Anaconda (1997) is only 90 minutes long. You can karate-chop through this movie, just like you did with Halloween (1978). #AnacondaForAddieCounts

Here's a last minute question, where do you plan to go on your next vacation?

Alex Tan

(to Aldo Gonzales) I aim to write fewer questions in my batch to allow others to ask Addie and to better fit the allotted runtime of future Q&As, given that many of her recent Q&A videos are around 30 minutes long.

Doug

Either way a Musical movie poll that includes Little Shop and other films could be fun, assuming it's worth going through the hassle of trying to edit one for YouTube. 🤷‍♂️

Doug

Fun Q&A as usual. 🙂 Somewhere in there it got me thinking that another movie poll for films from a famous director might be cool. I know she did Quentin Tarantino and Steven Spielberg polls a while back. Some other directors that might work for a poll: - Stanley Kubrick. Addie already watched The Shining on the channel, but he's done 13 other films including 2001 A Space Odyssey, Spartacus, Dr Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, and A Clockwork Orange (that one is a solid movie but does have some scenes that might be problematic!) - Martin Scorcese. Addie's already seen Goodfellas and The Departed, but he's done over 20 films so there's a lot to choose from (and they're not all crime movies, The Aviator was fantastic!. 😄) - Alfred Hitchcock. Going back even further in time, Hitchcock has a TON of films! I know Addie watched Psycho, but he's got a slew of other really great films in his catalog (my personal favorite being Strangers on a Train). Interestingly, though, Hitchcock never won the Academy Award for Best Director, go figure! - Steven Spielberg. Addie has watched some of his movies on the channel, but his catalog is pretty huge! (Poll aside, if I had to pick one Steven Spielberg movie to suggest for Addie, it's probably be The Terminal, it's one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies honestly.)

Doug

The Ollie thumbnail gave me another quick thought, you could do an “Ollie’ Recommended” movie night poll of dog related movies. 🐶Something like: - 101 Dalmations - Pick of the Litter - Best in Show - Lady and the Tramp - Isle of Dogs - Bolt - Frankenweenie - As Good as it Gets - Alpha - The Secret Life of Pets - Marley and Me - Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (P.S. That list is definitely not complete, I just typed down some at a glance but there are a LOT of dog movies! 😄

Yes, it's a shame you saw "The Prestige" before starting this channel. But, really, looking at your 'Watched' list on Letterboxd, the only other titles that I'm legitimately disappointed you saw prior are "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," "Whiplash," the first 2 "Chronicles of Narnia" movies, and nearly all the major Pixar movies except "WALL-E"... so I can't complain too much. Of course, I'm also disappointed you lost your reactions to "E.T.," "Ghostbusters," "Beetlejuice," and "Edward Scissorhands," but that's life. 🤷‍♂️
