Have a fab weekend. Ollies looking and found some squirrels outside.

LightsCameraJake

Is Ollie okay? He's not being camera shy? what happened? he's not sick is he? 😂

Randee Carreno

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 Thanks to you(and to Ollie) for another great monthly Q&A. I hope that you have a great day today & a great weekend! 😊

Alex Tan

Let's give Addie a round of applause for surviving that Ollie jump scare during her June Q&A. 👏👏 Happy Friday. Thank you for answering my questions. Here are my thoughts on certain things. BTW, I like your jean shorts. It goes well with your outer shirt & tank top. 1. I'm with Jeremy on not being interested in the upcoming two-part Wicked movies that come out this November and next year. I cringe whenever I hear the song Defying Gravity because I got exposed to it, thanks to Glee. 2. You should also consider doing a rewatch reaction to Inside Out (2015) if you plan on watching Inside Out 2 (2024) for the channel. #InsideOutRewatchReactionForAddieCounts 3. I'm 10/10 VERY HYPED to see the upcoming Twisters (2024). Again, it's my most anticipated movie of the summer and I definitely can't wait to see it in IMAX with my girlfriend and our friend and I'm still suggesting this movie to you. #TwistersForAddieCounts 4. You should DEFINITELY collaborate with Ames from Hold Down A. #HoldDownACollabForAddieCounts 5. If I ever wrote a book about you, then it should be called "Counting: The Addie Counts Story". 6. You should definitely watch rom-coms for your channel. That side of you is one that I'm curious about. #MoreRomComsForAddieCounts 7. My suggestion for the draw is Dunkirk (2017), an intense Christopher Nolan survival thriller that's set during the Evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940. #DunkirkForAddieCounts 8. I can now guess that your next Mel Gibson movie is The Patriot (2000). However, I STRONGLY recommend the 2007 Extended Cut. #ThePatriotExtendedCutForAddieCounts 9. Speaking of Roland Emmerich, who directed The Patriot (2000) & Independence Day (1996), one Godzilla movie that I'm definitely suggesting to you is Godzilla (1998). I don't care what anyone says, but I think that it's one that you should watch, no matter what. #Godzilla1998ForAddieCounts 10. You're DEFINITELY gonna have fun with both Grown Ups movies and all of Adam Sandler's other comedy movies. I don't care what anyone says, but I'm down for any Adam Sandler comedy. Sure he does recieve much more praise from his serious drama films like Punch-Drunk Love (2002) & Uncut Gems (2019), but I still prefer his goofy comedy movies like Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), Big Daddy (1999), Mr. Deeds (2002), Click (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013) and Jack & Jill (2011). #MoreAdamSandlerComediesForAddieCounts 11. I also like the new border in your thumbnails. It DOES indeed show how much you've evolved as a YouTuber. 12. I personally prefer Jurassic World VelociCoaster over Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. That ride was VERY INTENSE and I really want to go on that ride again, the next time I visit Universal Studios Florida. I'm probably more Jurassic than I am Wizarding.

Alex Tan

Yes, you can. Hopefully she watches the Lethal Weapon sequels as Patreon exclusives, given her copyright fiasco with the first movie. However, when she mentioned another Mel Gibson movie on her radar, my gut feeling paid off that she was going to watch The Patriot (2000). However, I do hope that she watches the 2007 Extended Cut of the movie.

Alex Tan

Yeah. And I do hope she does rewatch reactions to her VERY FIRST movies that she watched for the channel, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Ghostbusters (1984), Beetlejuice (1988) and Edward Scissorhands (1990). That's the one thing that I hope she does as a 100K special because she's been getting suggestions to those movies from newer subscribers. #ETRewatchReactionForAddieCounts #GhostbustersRewatchReactionForAddieCounts #BeetlejuiceRewatchReactionForAddieCounts #EdwardScissorhandsRewatchReactionForAddieCounts

Fun Q&A 🙂 Random thoughts: Fallout costume - You could pull off a Steph costume with the eye patch, Addie. 👍 Weekend at Bernies - Yep, it’s a summer movie, the setting is a party at a beach house in the Hamptons on Labor Day Weekend. … Things escalate from there. 😄 Deep Blue Sea - A pretty solid shark flick! Definitely worth checking out. Donald Sutherland - Watching one of his movies could be kind of cool. He won a Golden Globe best actor award for M*A*S*H and Ordinary People, and an Emmy for Citizen X so any of those for instance would be a good pick at least. Jerry McGuire - Great film, definitely a fun rom com with some popular quotes. 1984 Dune - It’s ok, not terrible, but I think the new two parter is significantly better. (At least going by part 1, I still haven’t rented Part 2 yet, I need to get on that….) Adam Sandler - Off the usual track for Sandler, I recommend his drama Uncut Gems, it’s a solid movie and he gets to stretch his acting chops a bit.

Alex Tan

And I think that we should definitely make it obligatory for Addie to do rewatch reactions to the first installments of movies that she already watched on her own if she wants to watch their sequels for her channel. She already did rewatch reactions to Back to the Future (1985), Iron Man (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), as she progressed through the BTTF trilogy & the MCU. And I also saw Last Action Hero (1993) appear on her Letterboxd account. It may imply she either watched it on her own or she must've added it on her already seen, just like GoodFellas (1990).

Alex Tan

Now that's a good idea.

Alex Tan

She did watch Uncut Gems (2019), but she didn't like it because it wasn't the style of movies that she likes whatsoever. In other words, it gave her so much anxiety, given how jumpy she is. But having said that, I'm in favor of anxiety-inducing movies. That's why I would suggest Sicario (2015) & Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) to her. #SicarioForAddieCounts

Alex Tan

And while we're suggesting movies with Donald Sutherland (RIP), I'm throwing in Klute (1971), National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) and Backdraft (1991). #MoreDonaldSutherlandForAddieCounts

Doug

Yeah, I can see Uncut Gems being a little stressful. 😄

Side Note: Since you at the very least like LotR & Hobbit - I would recommend reading: "Of Beren and Lúthien" in the book: "The Silmarillion" since watching LotR by Peter Jackson I and thousands upon thousands would die for "Of Beren and Lúthien" by Peter Jackson... Sure it probably won't happen, but ya never know! It is a great 'love'/'adventure' story set within Middle Earth!

Greetings from oklahoma addie, where the weather is made up and the seasons dont matter and our highest elevation...is a speed bump. Since this channel reacts to movies and TV Shows, have you ever though about doing a separate channel for reactions to music?

Alex Tan

I know, right. In the description of her reaction to The Batman (2022), she did mention that "suspenseful movies give [her] so much anxiety 😬". IMO, I think that she's way too wholesome for something like Pulp Fiction (1994) & Uncut Gems (2019). EDIT: In her August Q&A, she did mention that she was heavily drawn to sci-fi action movies, particularly the cheesier ones, but I do hope that she watches more grittier straight pure action thriller movies soon. At least she watched Air Force One (1997) and more recently, the first two Bourne movies, so that's a plus. However, I do hope that she watches the Christopher Nolan movies Dunkirk (2017) & Tenet (2020), both of which could give her a lot of anxiety. #MoreChristopherNolanForAddieCounts

Alex Tan

...or a separate blog channel?

Dune 1984 is not a good movie: executive interference being a big reason. But it is a very campy and entertaining one, especially when compared to the new movies. A lot of the performances are really OTT, and the Baron is more hilarious than terrifying. There's a lot of narration and clunky exposition (something the new movies did so much better). But it is genuinely fun to watch, and by gum I wanna see Addie react to Sting in his Y-fronts!

Salvatron

A colab with HoldDownA would be awesome!

Zachary Huneycutt

Well, I love your new look for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and I'm happy you appreciate the musicality of my poem and what I did with the lyrics (thought you would), BUT...if I'm not mistaken...someone avoided one of my questions. So, I'll ask you again: Why did you compare yourself to the reporter Peggy Brant in "The Mask?" She ended up being a creep who screwed Jim Carrey's character over, and I'm kind of confused about the comparison because you don't seem like that type of person??? I know it's just a movie, but I'm curious. PS I could probably help you with your fiction problem. I might even share something with you soon that might reinvigorate your love of fantasy a little more ;)

Addie, stop fucking around. THE EXPENDABLES. You know what to do.

Love hold down A, she is so unique and authentic and that would be a good collab as mentioned
