It's officially summer!!! Or should I say o-fish-ally since a lot of people go to the beach for their summer vacation... okay I'll see myself out!

Help me choose a movie to watch next! Here are some summery options. So I don't actually know if these are summer movies since I haven't seen them, and I'm going off of your summer recommendations! If some of these aren't actually summer movies, DON'T COME FOR ME. Happy voting :)

OMG you will absolutely love The Goonies, Addie!

phillip giroux

Goonies, Josh Brolin's greatest performance.

David Crabtree

Dazed & Confused is my favorite movie of all time.

Doug

Looking this over, regardless of the winner, now I’m in the mood to rewatch Weekend at Bernie’s for some reason. It’s pretty dumb and it’s not the best movie on the list, but the gimmick was kind of funny.🙂 P.S. Stand by Me is probably the actual best movie here, and it’s got 92% Rotten Tomatoes critic rating for instance. And it’s unusual since it’s a Stephen King film that’s not a horror movie. 🙂 American Graffiti is a close second. It’s been a LONG time since I saw that but it’s a solid George Lucas film

This is a great poll I can honestly say i enjoy all of these movies but i have to go with The Goonies it is one of my favorite movies.

Aldo Gonzales

The Goonies has some familiar faces when they were starting out. However, doesn’t Karate Kid also count as a summer movie?

baxterzeppo

This is a HARD one, Addie, I love all of these movies. My vote goes to Sandlot but I'd be remiss if I didn't honorable mention Goonies, Weekend at Bernies, and Caddyshack as movies that "feel like summer" to me

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great movie choices for this poll. "The Goonies" is my first choice, followed by "American Graffiti", and then "The Sandlot". Have a great day today! 😊

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. My votes belong to The Goonies (1985) & The Sandlot (1993).

Andrew Storing

She said on the next sports drama poll she’s gonna put it on there

Baldemort

The sandlot is actually the perfect simmer movie, it makes for a great 4th of July film specifically too.

Aldo Gonzales

I know but without spoiling should we also classify it as summer-based?

sarCC

Caddyshack and Wet Hot American Summer are two of the most funny movies ever made. Perfect summer silliness. (The Goonies is an adventure/kids horror movie first and foremost.)

Alexis

Heads up: The Goonies has aged pretty terribly.

sarCC

There are several scenes where they're attending high school, and a scene at a school dance.

Nathan Swapp

You will love the Goonies and the Sandlot

zynjams

You can tell the age group of your members, when goonies, and the sandlot is beating American Graffiti , Dazed and Confused and Caddy-shack it’s time for the Boomers to move along.

zynjams

Watching a chubby kid scream through the whole movie. No thanks

zynjams

Agree, wet hot is a great comedy

zynjams

American Graffiti is a classic

zynjams

The children are annoying.

Mr. Writhms

I voted "American Graffiti" and that movie was before my time so... I just thought it was very cool and the best thing George Lucas made other than Star Wars. And I'm a little worn out on "Sandlot" and "Goonies".

zynjams

and dang proud of it

zynjams

Dreyfus, Harrison Ford, Cindy Williams, Ron Howard the great music

Myoclonic Jerk

I've never understood the lack of love for Wet Hot American Summer. That movie is a work of absurdist genius! It takes the tropes of the summer camp genre, sets them up as you'd expect, then pushes and bends them beyond recognition until you can only sit stunned in the disbelief that they would actually do what they just did. And it has Janeane Garafalo.

ButtercupsTrueLove

It's a comedy but at its heart it is an ode to our youth on the last day of summer 1962. At times it's surprising sweet.

Nick Thousan

Love Sandlot but if you haven't seen Goonies it's time to check that one off the list.

Joe Blankenship

Shame that Wet Hot American Summer won't win. That movie is HILARIOUS, but I don't think enough people have seen it.

Joe Blankenship

I don't think enough people have seen it. It's a cult movie compared to the other ones on the list.

Gremlin8723

Since it's summer, mat I also suggest for a future poll a highly underrated disney movie. It's called Angels In The Outfield.

Cameron Kerby

Meatballs is the ultimate summer movie.

Zachary Huneycutt

The Sandlot! I'm so happy you included this classic from my childhood in the poll, Addison. You'll get a kick out of it. It's a real "heavy-hitter..." Should I see myself out? :)

Julian San

lol Weekend at Bernie’s is an option 😂

Simone's Coconut Squire

I’m so confused as to why you lumped Dazed and Confused in with Caddy Shack and American Graffiti. If you grew up with Goonies and Sandlot, chances are you went to high school with Dazed and Confused. It takes place in the 70s but was a total 90s film.
