Here's the full length reaction to Minority Report! It was so fun to see this story come together in the end with all the twists and turns! This won our sci-fi poll, but Mars Attacks and Ex Machina were both only a few votes behind. I'm planning on watching both of those movies this month, and the other popular poll choices will be on a poll in the future! Enjoy!

Oh, jeez. I really dig this flick. I can't wait to watch this.

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Minority Report (2002). This is another great collaboration between Tom Cruise & director Steven Spielberg. I own this movie on DVD in both Widescreen (2.39:1) & Full Screen (1.33:1) formats, the latter is in open matte. This was also Spielberg's first movie to be shot in Super 35 format to maximize the grainy look in the visuals. And this movie also came out on the same day as Lilo & Stitch (2002). Its upcoming live-action remake will come out on the same day as another Tom Cruise movie, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

I just rewatched Ex Machina last week, but I'm so down to do it again 😂

This movie really is just an existential mind bender 😂

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 It's time about awhile since I've watched this movie. But I do remember most of it. Great Tom Cruise film. Definitely looking forward to revisiting this one later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Addie, Minority Report/Total Recall/Blade Runner are implied to all be in the same universe. The Pre-Cogs are supposed to be mutants as seen in Total Recall which in turn makes references to going “off world” like in Blade Runner. Anyway, I trust you’d use the Pre-Cogs to save Ollie 😊

Thank you, Addie. I really, really like "Minority Report" and thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to it! I think the movie works in large part because of its screenplay, co-adapted from Philip K. Dick's story by "The Queen's Gambit" director/screenwriter, Scott Frank.

Minority Report is a lot of fun. 🙂 And it's also funny seeing Colin Farrell as himself again after just recently rewatching him as The Penguin, talk about an actor totally transforming themselves for a part!

Love it. Can't beat my man crush Tom. Thank you Addie 🩵

Philip K Dick is an interesting writer. Most of the movie adaptations need to tone down his wildness. A Scanner Darkly (2006) is probably the closest a movie has got to the feeling of reading his work. A movie dealing with similar themes to Minority Report is Deja Vu (also 2006) which I always misremember as being based on one of Dick’s short stories. You’d definitely enjoy Deja Vu which stars Denzel Washington and was directed by Tony Scott (Ridley’s brother).

Seeing Collin Ferrell in this just makes me want to watch Total Recall 2012
