It's been a while since I've watched a Tarantino movie! Help me choose a movie to watch next! All of his other movies are already on the channel with the exception of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (I watched that one before I started the channel).

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are great choices but my votes belong to Reservoir Dogs (1992). BTW, Tarantino's first name is Quentin.

The Dude Abides

Jackie Brown is the best Tarantino movie after Pulp Fiction and it doesn’t get nearly the appreciation it deserves.

KingGoji94

Jackie brown is soo underrated

Simone's Coconut Squire

While I actually love Deathproof, it’s not so much a whole movie as half a horror movie and a giant half hour long stunt.

Robert da Spruce

Jackie Brown often doesn’t get the attention it deserves IMO It would be my first pic! I also rewatched Deathproof not too long ago. I forgot how wild that film is!

Troy Sinegal

Of all Tarantino's movies, I believe you'll enjoy Jackie Brown. That seems more for you

Simone's Coconut Squire

I put those on par. I’d say Jackie Brown is the better “movie” but Resevior Dogs is the better script.

Pendragon1951

honestly never been a fan, but I will go by to give the like anyway:)

HaikenEdge

Why not True Romance?

pickupthepieces

I'd presume it's about movies directed by Tarantino. Not movies where he only did the script and/or producer.

djKENTO

Death Proof is intended to be viewed as part of a double feature called Grindhouse. It CAN be watched on its own but as a whole piece with Planet Terror it’s much better.

Kyle

Had to go with Reservoir Dogs. It's the one that started it all and of course it has the very iconic, if brutal, scene with the late Michael Madsen, who just recently passed away. RIP Michael Madsen.

djKENTO

I don’t think it hurts the movie at all. In fact I prefer the shorter cut. I think the “missing reel” gag feels more true to the intent of why it was made.

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for this Tarantino poll. I ended up going with "Reservoir Dogs" for this one. And it stars Michael Madsen, who just recently passed away. Have a great day today! 😊

JBK405

This post is how I learned that Michael Madsen had passed away.

Philip Davetas

Blech. I know I'm in the movie nerd minority, but I can't stand his movies.

Joe Blankenship

Gotta go Reservoir Dogs since we just lost Michael Madsen.

Alex Tan

The Hateful Eight (2015) is catching up.

justin swan

LUUUUIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS lol

Jasbro

Then dont watch it, nobody is forcing you to watch his stuff, she posts plenty of stuff i have no interest it.

Jasbro

Death Proof got my vote and is so damn good, but you cant go wrong with any of these.

Doug

Not that it’ll win the poll, but FYI Deathprooof was actually originally released as part of a “double feature” called Grindhouse, which also included a bunch of fake movie trailers for other pulpy movies. (One of those fake trailers, Machete, starring Danny Trejo, was so popular it actually got made into a real film afterward!) So on the off chance Deathproof does get enough votes, I’d highly recommend watching the Grindhouse double feature rather than the standalone Deathproof edit. They tie together somewhat and I don’t know if the fake trailers are in the Deathproof standalone? 🤷‍♂️

Doug

For some reason I thought Addie watched Reservoir Dogs already. That gets my vote then, it’s the movie that started his career, and it’s really good!

Alex Tan

True Romance (1993) was directed by Tony Scott, the director of Top Gun (1986), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Crimson Tide (1995). Quentin Tarantino hired him to direct True Romance after having seen Revenge (1990).

Julian San

Kill three birds with one stone: TRUE ROMANCE; directed by Tony Scott, written by Tarantino, and co-starring Val Kilmer.

Joe Blankenship

Been a hot minute since I've watched Reservoir Dogs. Not too long since I watched 8.

The Dude Abides

“Co-starring Val Kilmer” is a stretch considering you never see his face

The Strange Vision

I hope you still do The Hateful Eight. I've requested that movie for the wheel a couple times
