Will we ever see a man who can swim as fast as a dolphin?

JAKH

do you mean Deep? :)

Happy Friday, Addie(and Ollie)! :) Thank you so much for another great monthly Q&A. And I'm so excited to watch "Ladyhawk" next month as the new 'spinning wheel' movie. One of my favorite 80s movies. Have a great day today & a great weekend! 😊

Hi Addie. I don't think anyone will be mad at you for not watching GOT on camera. But please don't do that with Breaking Bad 🙏🏼

Franco V.

I think there are some indie films like "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" or "Being John Malkovich" (both from the same writer) that could do well on YouTube.

Happy Friday, Addie. Thank you for answering my questions. Here are my thoughts on certain things: 1. Looking forward to Ladyhawke (1985), the spinning wheel winner. 2. My favorite Christmas movies of all time are Die Hard (1988) & Enemy of the State (1998), both are controversial choices. 3. My top 10 favorite movies that came out this year (so far) are: 1. F1: The Movie (IMAX Version) 2. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (IMAX Version) 3. The Running Man (2025) 4. One Battle After Another 5. Sinners (IMAX Version) 6. 28 Years Later 7. Black Phone 2 8. TRON: Ares (IMAX Version) 9. The Housemaid 10. The Long Walk Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) will be on the list soon. 4. I noticed the audio improvement since your reaction to The Thing (1982). 5. I've been exercising lately because of the frequent Christmas parties I've attended where I'm eating lots. I work out 4 times a week and eat caesar salads. Plus, I'm also pushing in strapped stacks of shopping carts in my job so that helps. 6. If I ever get a tattoo, it'll be an Aquarius symbol. 7. If I had $1 million, I would spend it on a vacation to Walt Disney World with my girlfriend, from a frivolous perspective, but from a practical perspective, I'd spend it on my usual everyday things. 8. My top 10 most anticipated movies for next year are: 1. The Odyssey 2. Disclosure Day 3. Dune: Part Three 4. Crime 101 5. Project Hail Mary 6. Mortal Kombat II 7. Evil Dead Burn 8. 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple 9. Focker In-Law 10. The Devil Wears Prada 2 9. My girlfriend & I are also excited to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 & The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping next year with the latter in IMAX 1.90:1.

Ladyhawke?! Why Lady, um oops. I meant I’M SO EXCITED FOR LADYHAWKE!!! I started listening to this as I got into my car and then yelled my head off!! I’m parked safely and now commenting!!!

RIP to the GOT reactions, but how are you enjoying the show?

Daniel Lowther

Darn, I thought I’d finally got lucky with my spin pick: the wheel looked like it was about to drop on my choice, ‘Arthur (1981)’, but it just ticked past at the very last second, to ‘Ladyhawke’. It was so close, I could taste victory. The wheel be a harsh mistress: she giveth, & she taketh away haha.

Addie, hate to admit, Im sort of envious of people who have won on the spin wheel. First off, congrats to those who won this years spin wheel, all the movies have been fun, 2nd off, DANG IT I been putting movies on the wheel since you started doing them and I just have horrible RNG hahah, I have not won a single wheel yet.

Baldemort

Aww dang, RIP to watching game of thrones with you, was one of the shows I was hoping to see you watch since I started following you a long time ago. I hope you are liking it at least (sad face)

I did notice the new camera when you switched, excellent clear resolution, and I'm not surprised you went on a little rant about figuring out the audio. I'm relieved to know it sometimes just takes time, but it eventually gets figured out.

Looking over the comments, I just wanted to chime in that I really like Game of Thrones, it's a great show, but (and I recognize I'm probably in the minority) I'd rather watch a bunch of shorter series on the channel that take maybe 1-2 months to catch up on than a single 100 episode series that will take up to 6 months of time to finish. Me, I'd prefer Andor and Fall Out and Ted Lasso and season 5 of Stranger Things in the time it would take to watch all of GoT. Not to mention if, say, Addie starts watching some 60-100 hour long series and finds out early on she doesn't like it much then that's kind of a bummer if she feels stuck with it for 3-6 months. At least with shorter shows if they don't work out then it's just a few weeks lost. And there are a TON of really good shows with under 40 episodes total that Addie hasn't watched on the channel (I'm not sure which ones she may or may not have seen offline since she doesn't track that on Letterboxd or anything. 🤷🏻‍♂️) Just spitballing off the top of my head, there's Agatha All Along, The Bear, Peacemaker, Invincible, Good Omens, Reacher, The Queen's Gambit, Sandman, Severance, Barry, Dark, Murderbot, Mindhunter, etc. Even something like The Boys is "only" 32 episodes in the first four seasons so far if you're looking for something on the upper end of that spectrum. Mind you, if Addie did watch, for instance, Breaking Bad plus Better Call Saul (123 episodes total) for example I wouldn't complain and it's not the end of the world by any means, those shows are awesome. But I do enjoy the variety of a lot of smaller shows, just my opinion. Anyway, there's my two cents, don't spend it all in one place! 😄

Amen, brother. There are so many good movies left to watch. Reacting to a movie takes two hours plus post production time. Reacting to a series could take dozens of hours to produce. Plus, since I (and I presume a lot of other viewers) like to watch reactions only after I’ve watched it so there are no spoilers I’m stuck in a situation where I have to watch a dozen hours of a series so I can watch the reaction video. With most of the older movies I’ve seen them already so I can watch the reaction right away. Anyway I agree, fewer episodic series and more stand-alone movies. Thanks
