Great timing! I saw this was available on Amazon this week and was planning to watch it over the weekend!

2026-09-06 15:00 As someone who watched He-Man and 5he Master of the Universe religiously in the 80s as a child, I was pleasantly surprised by all the Easter eggs and other references to not only the cartoon show but the 1987 movie, loved that Dolph Lundgren made it a cameo and even did the line from the 87 movie “good journey“ I watched it with my girlfriend, and she kept laughing every time I pointed out another reference to a toy I had or whatever it was.

I was gonna be mad if Orko never showed up but throwing him in at the end like that was perfect if you remember the way the show episodes used to end

I was into He-Man briefly. Had some figures and a He-Man backpack. But Ninja Turtles put an end to He-man's reign. Plus Ghostbusters. The REAL Ghostbusters. ;)

I do wish you would've checked out the cartoon movie first, but I enjoyed this movie. It seems to respect the lore of the franchise. But I hope they make a couple of tweaks for the sequel, if it does get a sequel.

If nothing else, the music kicked ass

We got robbed of seeing a Cringer transformation into Battle Cat!!

Eh, I'm betting the She-Ra and the Princess of Power (2018) animated series was done with more care. Glad to anyone who did enjoy the film. Think I'll pass on this one myself. Now °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ ̰ ̰𝓐̰𝓭̰𝓭̰𝓲̰𝓮̰ ̰ °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・, since you've seen The Matrix and Predator movies think you would enjoy these two animated movies based on those franchises. The Animatrix and Predator: Killer of Killers!

I’m in the same boat as Addie having never grown up with anything Masters related. It looked fun based on the trailers and I loved Travis Knight’s work with Bumblebee and Laika animation.

Shooter The Emu With A Gun

As someone who grew up with the original MOTU I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A few nitpicks but overall a great time.

I kept saying “where the fuck is Orko???” And they finally slipped him in in the last few seconds 😂

Shooter The Emu With A Gun

The first live action movie was Ok. It basically ignored the cartoon and did it's on thing. If you want to dip your toe into the cartoon I would look into the Secret of the Sword which introduces He-man's sister She-ra.

Just watched it on Amazon

Hey Shooter, Perhaps, this film hits for you, maybe its better than what I'm anticipating. However, most live action adaptions haven't been able to capture the charm and fun of the original as they attempt to be different. I know nostalgia is a what most of these remakes are banking on. Someone like myself who also grew up on these series, toys, etc. Yet, in my experience the movie industry hasn't done any off the top of my head well. Usually, they do better when its going from live action to animated content.. like the two I mentioned above. Sounds like it was your cup of tea, glad you enjoyed it.

You should definitely watch the original movie with Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. Frank Langella kills it as Skeletor.

Joe Blankenship

You don't need to watch the 80's Masters of the Universe. We were disappointed by that as kids. They didn't even try. Although the make-up and performance of Frank Langella as Skeletor is pretty awesome.

Fun movie! Nice combination of action, humor, and just enough cheese 😊 Took me a minute to recognize Morena Baccarin. She looked quite different
