Here's the full length reaction to Top Secret! Since I finished all of The Naked Gun movies, I felt like I had to watch this one as well! I think this was my least favorite ZAZ movie, but it was still a lot of fun! It was fun to see Val Kilmer in this role. Enjoy!

This was Val Kilmer's film debut in fact. Kind of interesting how his first and last movies start with the word "Top" (TOP GUN: MAVERICK was his last).

Happy Friday, Addie. I'm so glad that you had fun watching Top Secret! (1984), despite it being your least favorite Zucker/Abrams/Zucker movie, although you enjoyed seeing Val Kilmer in this one. Speaking of Val Kilmer (RIP), I also suggest The Saint (1997). #TheSaintForAddieCounts https://youtu.be/gAOB_z3ehvo?is=lDW8KNhMAWDUD3bY

The Dude Abides

Val Kilmer was such an amazing actor, so many great roles but to me he will always be Madmartigan from Willow since that was the first movie I watched with him.

Adrian Duenas

Always been curious to check this one out. I recommend the two ZAZ-adjacent “Hot Shots!” movies. They’re both directed by Jim Abrahams and…I take both over all the ZAZ movies combined 🙈

I watched this movie dozens of times as a kid. Lots of hidden jokes everywhere. Still, not his best work.

Steve Mercier

"Nick, I've tried everything: the embassy, the German government, the consulate. I even talked to the U.N. ambassador. It's no use, I just can't bring my wife to orgasm."

Joe Blankenship

For more Val Kilmer, see "Real Genius". He's really cool in that movie. Then watch Ryan Reynolds in "Van Wilder."

Jose Almeida

This is one of Weird Al’s favorite movies! If not his favorite!

Val Kilmer's definitely my favorite part of this one, I forgot how much singing and dancing he does in it. 👍 On a tangent this also reminded me that The Great Escape came in a pretty close second in the "random movie" poll at the end of June, being kind of about a prison break in World War II (it lost to Big Trouble in Little China). Hopefully Addie will give that one a shot too at some point. 😊

On a tangent I just saw Weird Al in concert a few weeks ago. In one of the songs he actually does the bit from this film where he pulls his boxers out of his pants and tosses it to a girl in the crowd. 😄 (P.S. And man, his band is fantastic! I think sometimes people forget how good a musician Weird Al actually is. 👍)
