Just heard the sad news about RJ Mitte passing. He was 34 so young :(

Franco V.

The fact that Gus revenge is not killing him but tell him he will and then not doing it is so twisted. Worst torture.

Such sad news that RJ Mitte who plays Walter Jr. passed away yesterday. R.I.P. RJ Mitte, and praying for his family!

RIP RJ. An awful & sudden loss :( There's a lot of background to over for this episode!... So Gus said that he named the scholarship after his friend Max. It is possibly intimated that they were more than friends too with Hector saying "they like what they see" (about him peeing in the pool) and Max saying "he is my partner" (though that is of course ambiguous). If that's the case then no wonder Gus is mad. It would also mean that when Walt visited, Gus staged the house to make him seem like a family man to get closer to Walt, before their relationship fell apart. And it fell apart because they killed Gale, who was his next-in-line chemist after Max died. 17 years of planning, finding the right replacement who was competent and could be trusted, for him to go in the blink of an eye. In a previous episode intro Hector is speaking on the phone about Gus and says something to the effect of he doesn't care if they refer to Gus as a "big General" This implies that he could've been a General in the Fascist military dictatorship led by Pinochet in Chile, but he fled and changed his name before the revolution. So when Eladio says "he knows who he is" he could well have been saying that he wasn't buying Gus' sweet act of the businessman, he might've been known for his ruthlessness and cunning back in Chile. They also might have feared that Gus would try to usurp them by bringing in this vastly more efficient business which benefits on his vast transport infrastructure, and so they killed his chemist to stop that dead and force him to work under them as a mule. That's when Gus decided to set up the chemistry scholarship and start again. This time with pure vengeance on the mind. Now he really is coming for them, but slowly and methodically. And on a side-note, I absolutely love the scenes of detective Hank and shit-scared Walt. So funny
