I get to watch a movie with addie that I've also never seen. This will be fun.

Happy Friday, Addie. I have never seen The Shawshank Redemption but I do intend to watch it alongside your full length reaction. I also intend to do the same with Squid Game, LOTR, & The Hobbit.

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is a great movie. And one of the best movie adaptations from a Stephen King book. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are fantastic in this film. Have a great day today, and a great weekend! 😊

Apparently Frank Darabont initially wanted Tom Hanks to play Andy, but they couldn't get their schedules to work. It was probably for the best, though, since they *would* end up working together on "The Green Mile," and Hanks was much better suited for the role he played in that one, IMO.

This is an absolutely beautiful reaction to an amazing film. Thank you Addie. I've seen this film several times, but seeing it again with you was like seeing it with fresh eyes. Speaking of eyes, I come from a very Irish background (My Grandmother's Maiden Name was Harrigan, with lots of O'Shaunassy and McGarrity cousins!) and the look in your eyes when staring at the Warden at times gave me flashbacks to when the redheaded women in my family were angry at me! LOL I am looking forward to the reactions to the other films on the poll. Have a wonderful weekend!

This is one of those rare must-see classic films. This and the Green Mile are two that I always look forward to people seeing for the first time.

You made a lovely reaction. I believe this won the Best Picture award.

Oops, I wonder why I remember it that way lol

I just watch The Shawshank Redemption and I enjoyed it. It's also a favorite of my girlfriend's dad.
