There we go, can't wait for your Loki reaction (maybe even What if...?)? and into the movies again! Just a note, Zemo isn't in Wakanda, the Doja Milaje took him to "The Raft", the underwater prison some of the Avengers was put in Civil War (and Steve saved them), so we for sure havn't seen all from him yet, but the future will tell. The show will tie into Captain America: New World Order with a 2024 release and most likely Thunderbolts (also 2024)

I think I'll binge this over the weekend. Haven't seen it since it aired.

There are announced future projects for both Sam and Bucky, never fear :)

Even though I thought this was the weakest of all the Disney+ Marvel shows, this is still a really good show. The pacing is a little wonky, and even though the producers have denied it, I buy into the rumor that there was a cut plot point about a global virus, or the Flag Smashers looking to release a virus, so a good bit of rewrites went in at the last minute since production went into 2020 and a global virus plotline wouldn't have been a good idea. I am excited to see more of Sam as Captain America, and New World Order hits theaters next year. I'm hoping Bucky shows up too, 'cause you can't not have that Sam/Bucky relationship in a Captain America movie. And I'm like you, I miss Steve, but Sam is perfect to carry on the legacy.

"I don't know how to feel about that..." is exactly how Marvel intended you to feel about John Walker becoming US Agent at the end. 😅

I won’t reveal too much, but rest assured, there are plans and projects in store for Sam, Bucky, Zemo and Walker. As they say in the comics, watch the skies. As for TFATWS, I tend to agree the show is a bit uneven. I blame some of that on rewriting while the show was in production and that they changed some stuff when shut down for pandemic restrictions. Show was only half finished, if that, when the virus that must not be named hit. It’s why there is an off hand reference to the Flag Smashers attacking conveys with vaccinations aboard and then the vaccines are never mentioned again. Having said that, it’s still a solid show and I certainly enjoyed the Isaiah Bradley story, the Zemo stuff and the Wakandans. All good, all thumbs up here. Now, on to the God of Mischief!

So yeah this show is rocky, but I blame that on the pandemic. I give this show a lot of leniency because of 2020 and it all happened right in the middle of production. So they did have to stop everything and rewrite a lot of stuff. The weakest part of the show was honestly the Flag Smashers. They didn't get enough to feel like really fleshed out villains. John Walker is easily one of the best characters in the show. He was never a villain, but I can understand your unease. U.S. Agent is his alias in the comics and he's an anti hero. So... he's not evil and doesn't do anything to actively harm the world, but he does cross some moral boundaries that heroes wouldn't, like killing. So he's not a bad guy at all, but the bad thing is he's now under the command of Valentina, who pitted Yelena against Clint at the end of Black Widow, so we know she stirs the pot and can't be trusted. It sucks that right when he did something good, he showed he was able to drop his hate and desire for revenge in order to save people, right when he thinks he's stepping into a place where he can do good.... he's probably gonna do a lot of bad without knowing. He's not even as bad as he is in the comics. In there, he's much worse, much more arrogant and just a dickhead. But here, they really played off his trauma and hardened past, but he still wants to help people. I think if you stayed with the show longer you might have felt a little more sympathetic but two watch sessions is pretty quick so it makes sense. I will always miss Steve, he's among my favorite heroes. He inspires so much good in others, being so determined and strong, not because of a serum, but because of who he is inside. He had the respect of Gods, yet he was human. He wasn't the strongest, yet he felt unstoppable. He wasn't the smartest, yet he was the greatest leader. He was literally willing to fight Thanos' army alone to his last breath, because he can do this all day. But all that being said..... Sam is the perfect person to take his place and I can't wait to see more of our new Captain America. Can't wait for Loki! That's a huge milestone in the MCU and I really want to hear your thoughts on the things presented.... see you then Addie!

Back in episode 2 I mentioned that Walker was the first of two characters I do not like. Holding his leash is the other. Imagine seeing her here first and then at the end of Black Widow. As a fan of yours, I saw how hooked you were with Sam from the start. You have been loyal from the start and I cannot wait to see him in action again too. You caught on to that look on Sharon's face as she was leaving and knew, she's already up to something. It was great to rewatch this series and what's to come. Take care, Addie!!

The Flag Smashers aren't the villains, the symbol is. that was the whole point of the show. That is why we have John Walker and Carlie fight each other; they are the fallout from a government that doesn't care. That is why the story is about Sam cleansing that idea . That is what Sam's speech is all about. The flag smashers along with John walker are not villains, they are victims in governmental negligence.
