This episode, and the series in general, sets up EVERYTHING coming in the MCU for the rest of this Phase and the next for the foreseeable future. You start seeing ripples in a few movies, but the big payoffs are just now starting to show. Jonathan Majors is brilliant in this and completely unexpected for the main "villain." I really, really, hope we see more of Sylive soon. I'm sure she'll show up in Loki season 2 (which is out this year btw), but I'd love to see her pop up in other properties. I wonder how Thor would react to meeting her...lol

The birth of the multiverse. But yes, this was the "beginning" of the Multiverse Saga with Kang (and all his variants) as the big bad guy for phase 4-6 ending with the two Avengers movies Avengers: The Kang Dynasty & Avengers: Secret Wars in 2025 & 2026 :)

Knowing what this episode is setting up, I can already tell that season 2 is going to be amazing! I love Jonathan Majors as He Who Remains! That Miss Minutes jump scare when Loki and Sylvie enter the Citadel at the End of Time always gets me even though I know it's coming. LOL! That last moment when Loki sees the statue of the He Who Remains variant is the perfect set up for the MCU moving forward. Since you've already watched "Black Widow", up next in the MCU Phase 4 is the Disney+ show "What If?". Have a great day & weekend! 😊

You're going to start getting comments explaining "the threshold". They are wrong. Just getting ahead of that now. It's simply the moment he stopped looking forward. It was not created by another marvel property.

Sorry but to many series for me, To much of the same. Will return in a month or two if I see some films posted. In the mean time enjoy everyone and lubs to Addie 😘

I thought this series was just ok for me. I liked the concepts but not sure on the execution. Which is pretty much Phase 4 summed up.

He who remains is a variant of Kang The Conqueror. He’s the next big bad. You’ll see him in Ant man and the wasp Quantamania.

So yeah.... this show changes everything for the MCU going forward. So He Who Remains is a Variant of a very big comic villain who he hinted at.... Kang The Conqueror. A Multiversal war began, and He Who Remains cut off our universe from it all. So really he wasn't a bad guy. He told the total truth. Something occurred in that moment that caused the Timeline to start heavily branching. We aren't sure what, but there are theories. One of them is Wanda becoming the Scarlet Witch in the finale of Wandavision. Agatha herself said "You don't know what you've unleashed." Plus, Wanda herself is a Nexus being. Meaning her powers span scross all of reality, all of the Multiverse. So possibly the very existence of that power caused branching. But yeah.... Sylvie really screwed up 😅 Her anger and hate got the best of her and now the Universe of the MCU that we know.... is now irreversibly branching out.... connecting to the Multiverse. This opens the door to an infinite amount of threats... including the variant that He Who Remains is afraid of. So yeah this changes quite literally everything in this world. And no one else but Loki knows. Sam Wilson's Cap doesn't know. Wanda doesn't fully know. But this busts everything wide open. Plus it opens the door for Marvel to bring in other versions of characters previously owned by other companies. Like the Fox X-Men. Now people are wanting cool cameos of Hugh Jackmans Wolverine and it can work because now he can just be a variant. Or other versions of Spider-Man even. The Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield movies you watched a while back could be just another Variant of Tom Hollands Spider-Man in the MCU. It's really exciting. Next show is "What If?" And I really enjoy that one and I hope you do too! See you then Addie!

I had no idea "He who remains" was. Other reactors filled me in when seeing their videos. There is just so much that branches off of this series, literally. It's better off to let you find out on your own of course. No spoilers. Take care, Addie!!

He Who Remains aka Kang the Conquer was not lying at all. Thats all you have to know. Sylvie killing him was probably the worst mistake in the Multiverse. "See you soon" was him saying that indeed there is going to be a war now across multiple universes. You said you wonder what this means for the future, keep in mind they were at the END of time in this last episode so what ever happens is going to happen all over in multiple time lines in the past and hes just going to end up back there anyway. Thats the theory.
