I love Rain Man SO much. So much.

Happy Sunday, Addie. All are great choices but my votes go to The Breakfast Club (1985), Rain Man (1988), and Dead Poets Society (1989). BTW, nice April Fools prank, yesterday.

zynjams

the breakfast club is the ultimate 80s movie in this list

Happy Sunday, Addie! 😊 All of these are fantastic 80s movie choices. It was a very hard decision. Ultimately, "Rain Man" got my pick since it's been awhile since I've seen that one. Any movie that wins will be a great watch. Great April Fools Day prank yesterday. LOL! Have a great day today! 😊

Let's make The Breakfast Club (1985) & Rain Man (1988) tie each other so Addie reacts to both.

Now there's an idea. That'll have Addie sweating if it happens. That means she'll have to watch ALL four of them.

The Dingo

Let's go Breakfast Club!!

Alex Tan

If there are popular movies that I would love to see her watch, then it'll be Mission: Impossible (all six films) & Bourne (all five films).

Bill W

Tough one. These are all about equal. Funny... "80's movies" and 2 are set in different decades.

Raven Dark

I chose Rain Man, but I love every one of these. Watch them all! LMAO.

Stand By Me is the best movie in this poll, so of course it's losing. Why do I even bother.

Richard Maurer

Well, that's an opinion all right. All the stuff you mentioned is literally the main reason I'm here. A lot of the mainstream movies that get picked are not really my taste, and everytime I vote for something in a mainstream movie poll it loses. But I guess you have to take the bad with the good.

Richard Maurer

If I were making that countdown it would be a reason for me to cancel at the end. Seriously though, I generally agree with what you say. But there is problem, and that is the fact that all reactors are struggling as of late as interest in reaction on YT declines, and reactors will be looking for anything to keep their YT numbers up, giving them a reason to continue. And as anyone who is paying attention knows older movies alone, or even as a majority, won't do well enough on YT to make a channel viable. Addie will need to find a replacement for the movie/shows you mention, and older movies won't be the answer.

Richard Maurer

Well it will be interesting to see if there are enough "genuine movie buffs" on YT keep a channel viable. It doesn't matter what type of entertainment a reactor's viewers prefer, there still has to be enough views to make it worth the reactors time. This also depends how much of the reactors income is reaction related. In other words is reaction more of a paying hobby, a significant part of their income, or their only income? From what I've seen very few fall under the paying hobby option, most are in some degree of the other two options. I would think if it were viable to specialize more people would. The few specialist reactors I've seen tend toward horror movies, probably because even if horror doesn't get as many views as trendy stuff it probably maintains a steady level high enough to justify a channel. I also assume the people doing horror reaction channels lean closer to the paying hobby end of the scale.
