Patrons, I haven't asked you for anything in our entire relationship, but I'm asking you to vote for Jojo Rabbit.

Aaron Chandler

Hacksaw Ridge is my favorite all time WW2 movie. I may cry if it loses the poll. But if it does lose, I'll watch it by myself and feel better.

DazzMetalStorm

I didn't expect Dunkirk to be voted low.

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 Once again, all fantastic movie choices. It was hard to decide on this one. So, I made it fairly easy on myself and voted on "Dunkirk" since that's the only movie I haven't seen. Anyway movie that wins this poll is going to be a great watch. Have a great day today! 😊

carbsix

Ah... so you're in a crying mood, I see....

Tom W.

Geez......heavy selection. All of these will make Addie cry.

Alex Tan

Happy Tuesday, Addie. All are great choices but my votes go for Schindler's List (1993), Dunkirk (2017), & 1917 (2019). BTW, I must warn you that Dunkirk is not your typical war movie because that movie is more of a survival thriller in a war setting. It's gonna be very, VERY intense. More so than The Dark Knight (2008), but slightly less than The Shining (1980). Hans Zimmer's music in that movie will also play a part in the suspenseful nature of the movie as well. Please be brave, Addie. You go girl. BTW, please have the Kleenex ready if any of the other movies listed win this poll.

Alex Tan

But Dunkirk (2017) will have her on-edge.

Alex Tan

Dunkirk (2017) is my all-time favorite Christopher Nolan movie. My dad & I saw it in IMAX 70mm when it first came out and it easily became my all-time favorite 2017 movie and my all-time favorite IMAX movie.

Kody Walker

1917 or Hacksaw Ridge I think you'd enjoy the most.

Thomas Yanez

There's a lot of intensity in this list.

Alex Tan

...but a lot of suspense in Dunkirk (2017), that'll give her so much anxiety.

Diiirk706

No Schindler's list. E V E R. Thank you. I will deactivate my pledge so fast.

Thomas Yanez

You do know that you don't have to watch it just because she posts it... right? Is the rest of her content null and void if she reacts to this movie?

Phil Stubblefield

@Naddlez Wow, I haven't encountered this reaction to _Schindler's List_ before! I saw the film in a theater when it originally came out, and I've had no desire to see it since. Not because I don't think it's worthy, but because it's so difficult to come face to face with such a real, historical evil. OTOH, I think it's a culturally significant film about an extremely significant historical era that every person should experience at least once.

LightsCameraJake

Memorial Day is coming up next week, Hacksaw Ridge is Andrew Garfields best performance in a film in my opinion other than playing spidey. Even if it don't win, it's one of the best true story war movies out there and you should watch it 🥹 I implore people to vote Hacksaw Ridge. I'm not sure I'll watch Schindler List if it wins. I saw that movie once and I'm scared to see it again. It's a great movie in a terrifying holy shit sort of way. Just know that movie is so real and scary that Steven Spielburg refuses autographs or anything on the movie.

Phil Stubblefield

Addie, as others are saying, be sure to bring some tissues and give yourself some recovery time afterward when you watch _Schindler's List_ ! (Whether it's now or at some later point, I believe everyone should see it once.)

Alex Tan

And (I don't care what anyone says) I also implore Addie to watch Pearl Harbor (2001), produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Michael Bay. BTW, kudos to Viki & Michelle from The Homies channel for watching that movie.

Rollo Tomassi

Schindler’s List is a snoozefest

Alex Tan

Neither did I. I do hope that movie is on a Christopher Nolan poll with Memento (2000), Insomnia (2002), The Prestige (2007), Inception (2010) and Tenet (2020).

Diiirk706

Not to mention very scummy and weird to make a ''Reaction Video'' of of all things.... It's akin to Twelve Years a Slave, etc...vids.... By all means watch on your own time, but like...y i k e s...

Diiirk706

@ThomasYanez With this one ? You bet your Ass.

Rollo Tomassi

Excellent point … its nearly impossible to make a reaction video on that.

Alex Tan

I do hope those are on a future Patreon poll.

Diiirk706

@PhilStubblefield Exactly. Here my reply to someone in these comments might clear up my stance on this: ...''Not to mention kinda scummy and weird to make a ''Reaction Video'' of (Schindler's List) of all things.... It's akin to Twelve Years a Slave, etc...vids.... By all means watch on your own time, but like...y i k e s...''

Luis Fernandez

All solid movies, but I'm going with Hacksaw Ridge. I think Addie would enjoy the Garfield/Palmer parts, so that was the deciding factor.

LightsCameraJake

So its between a very sad and emotionally morally evil movie, and a Childs movie about not taking the war seriously. EESH lol. Two very opposite ends of the spectrum here xD

Lance Li

Don't get the hate towards Dunkirk. It's literally Nolan's greatest. It's basically a war horror movie like Come and See (the only way that war should be portrayed really), so it doesn't have to have relatable characters or dialogues. 1917 is incredibly overrated, and for Schindler's List, I can only think of what Kubrick had to say about it: "The Holocaust is about six million people who get killed. Schindler’s List was about six hundred people who don’t."

2026-10-13 17:00 Since Schindler's List (1993) is more likely to win this poll, I do hope that Addie also watches Happy Gilmore (1996), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) or Thor: Love & Thunder (2022) afterwards, as a pallette clenser. When she watches Schindler's List, I can tell that it'll have the same emotional effect on her like The Green Mile (1999) did, but on a BIGGER level. In other words, she's really gonna cry watching that movie. BTW, this is only based off of my personal gut feelings regarding what's in store for her.

First of all, spoilers. Second, what is that quote even supposed to mean? That the movies doesn't adequately communicate the horror and loss and death of the holocaust? Really?

Lance Li

I'm not trying to say anything beyond what the quote said. Let's not get excited over nothing. The movie is a savior fantasy based in a realistic historical setting and that's okay, just don't expect it to say anything profound about the Holocaust. (And what's the spoiler? I referenced literally nothing from the plot of any of these.)

Jesse Shadows

So this is your “I want to cry” list lol

aarswft

TIL there are people that don't like Dunkirk.

Pokeysaurus

I implore everyone to use the most melodramatic vocabulary possible.

Pokeysaurus

Dunkirk was great, but it's a poor movie for a reaction. It's soooooo slow; the pacing is just wrong for this format.

Kyle Brandon Sanger

A hard choice between 'Hacksaw Ridge', 'Dunkirk', and '1917'. But... 'Hacksaw Ridge' is the best of the poll.

Lance Li

If movies with slow pacing are not ideal for reactions, then at least half of the entire film repertoire would be out of the question. Besides, Dunkirk is slow? If the film is anything, it's anything but that. Go watch the second half of Beau is Afraid to get a sense of real 'slow'.

Billy Dancel

Hacksaw Ridge became an instant favorite for me!

Billy Dancel

Now I know what you meant by "heavier" movies.

Alex Tan

Dunkirk (2017) would make a great reaction for Addie. It sucks that it's dead last in this poll. Hopefully it wins in a Christopher Nolan themed poll. BTW, kudos to Cassie from Popcorn in Bed for watching that movie.

Eric

Schindler’s list is an amazing film that deserved all the awards It receive. As a human being this is a film that must be watched at least once in your life it’s not an easy watch i’ve cried every time I watched it. Just prepare to have a box of tissues ready and remember to breathe because there will be definitely some ugly crying involved.

BackstagepassReactions

You can comment until you’re blue in the face you not affecting nothing over here keep talking .. if I’m getting under your skin then I love it😂 because I thought I was minding my business

Byrd N. Hand

Actually, I'd say watch an Andrei Tarkovsky or Michelangelo Antonioni film to get a real sense of 'slow.' I imagine the average ADD-stricken jagoff these days would hang themselves before getting through one of them. When the hell did filmmaking apparently become about making the absolute shortest movie possible??

Andre Agog

The best American war movie is "The Big Red One" (1980). The best WW2 movie overall is "Come And See" (1985). The best Holocaust movie is "Sophie's Choice" (1982). Just my opinion though, of course.

Byrd N. Hand

"The Big Red 1" is definitely also my favorite WWII film; even Steven Spielberg clearly aped certain shots from it for "Saving Private Ryan." It pains me that so few people have still heard of it compared to lesser but more acclaimed films like the aforementioned SPR.

Rollo Tomassi

I never said anything about considering it off limits … I don’t feel that way about any film. I just think it’s tediously slow and incredibly boring. It’s the slow and boring aspect that makes it a weird choice, for me, to see a reaction to it. I don’t accept your comparison to “Saving Private Ryan” as there are a range of emotions to react to in that movie and lots of anxiety inducing action scenes to break up the more melancholy moments. “Schindler’s List” is just one gigantic boring bummer.

Lance Li

Garfield's best? Recommend The Social Network (2010)

DMB

Dang, every time I checked the votes go up but Jojo Rabbit is always 10 votes behind Schindler's List. Both fantastic but sooo different

Eddie

I've never seen Schindler's List and I doubt I ever will. It's not to say it's not a good movie, but I don't want to put myself through that.
