Happy Wednesday, Addie. Remember the Titans (2000) is one of my favorite Denzel Washington movies that was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (that's twice in a row that you've watched a Bruckheimer movie this week). The idea of a football coach like Herman Boone who integrates the football team of T. C. Williams High School (now Alexandria City High School) is a very inspirational story that has redefined the meaning of a Disney movie in a new and refreshing way. The friendship between Julius "Big Ju" Campbell & Gerry Bertier was very sweet. I totally agree with you that Denzel's performance in this movie is so well done. You should also check out all of the deleted scenes, which are on Disney+, because three of them were added back into the Director's Cut of the film, which came out on DVD in 2006. BTW, that jumpscare that you felt when the credits started to roll was from the start of Trevor Rabin's soundtrack.

Speaking of Denzel Washington, I do hope that you'll watch his Tony Scott directed movies (including Crimson Tide (1995), Deja Vu (2006) (both produced by Jerry Bruckheimer), Man on Fire (2004), The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (2009) and Unstoppable (2010)), as well as his Antoine Fuqua directed movies (including The Equalizer trilogy, Training Day (2001) and The Magnificent Seven (2016)) and his Edward Zwick directed movies (including Glory (1989), Courage Under Fire (1996) & The Siege (1998)). I also suggest Cry Freedom (1987), which was directed by Richard Attenborough, who played John Hammond in Jurassic Park (1993), and shot in Super 35 format, as well as The Bone Collector (1999), Safe House (2012) and The Little Things (2021). #MoreDenzelWashingtonForAddieCounts

2026-10-13 17:00 Speaking of Will Patton, I also suggest Armageddon (1998), also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Michael Bay. …and speaking of Ethan Suplee, I also suggest Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), Clerks II (2006), Clerks III (2022) (all four films are part of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse), Unstoppable (2010, also with Denzel), Dog (2022) & Babylon (2022).

Here's the behind the scenes documentary Remember The Titans - An Inspirational Journey Behind the Scenes. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNyHxIzXb9c) And speaking of Lynn Swann, who hosted this documentary, I also suggest The Last Boy Scout (1991, also directed by Tony Scott) and The Waterboy (1998, starring Adam Sandler), although he cameos in them.

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 This is such a great movie. Definitely one of my top favorite Denzel Washington films. And it's one of those movies that I have to watch whenever it's on tv. Looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

I can only assume this won as a personal favor to me. Thanks everyone.

Baconsaber

"Not a stupid sports movie making me cry!" I fully recommend watching The Replacements. Keanu in a sports comedy is stellar.

You're welcome, aarswft.

Even though it's not even one of the most emotional moments of the movie, "You make sure they *remember* ... *FOREVER* ... the night they played the Titans" never fails to give me chills.

Billy Dancel

Fantastic music from this movie. “I love you, sugar.” WAS embarrassing in the early 70’s The run and then the speech at Gettysburg is my favorite scene. Boone with the banana. That was a statement. I’m happy you enjoyed this as your first D W movie for your channel. Somehow, Glory (1989) finished last in the poll. That movie won him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Imagine watching it and thinking, “This finished last?!” A very worthy movie to see. Plus it has an outstanding cast! Take care of yourself, Addie!!

Tom Evans

Another inspirational story related to this movie is Ethan Suplee, the actor who plays Lastik (the big guy who got to go to college). In recent years he lost a ton of weight and got ripped. Totally unrecognizable. He hosts a podcast about weight loss and fitness called "American Glutton."

Anthony Jackson

Addie!! I really enjoyed watching this with you! :) I would love another Denzel movie when your up for it! My two suggestions are Fences 2016 American Gangster 2007
