Happy August everyone! I don't have a reaction for you today because I've been recovering from Covid :( I tested positive a week ago and am feeling soooooo much better now, but I'm still not 100% recording ready! I'm hoping to catch up on recording later this week, but in the meantime... Help me choose a fun movie to watch when I'm back!

5 very solid choices! The Goonies has to be my #1 choice from this list, it's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, and I think you'll really love it. But I also had to put a vote in for D&D: Honor Among Thieves. I'm a longtime D&D player and I was very impressed with how they managed to create a fun adventure that was accessible for non-players while offering lots of little nuggets for us who love the game. Honestly, I think you'll enjoy any of these movies, hopefully we get to see reactions for all of them at some point. :)

Rich

I'm very happy to see Jumanji on there. I'm voting for that because parts of it were filmed where I live in New Hampshire. Hopefully all three can eventually be seen

Happy Wednesday, Addie. All are great choices but my votes go for Jumanji (1995) & National Treasure (2004, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer). Feel better soon, Addie.

Brian Leonard

Bill & Ted is my choice. I would watch the modern Jumanji movies, but I have no interest in the original. Dungeons and Dragons is okay, but I could wait for the YouTube edit for that.

Mr. Writhms

Glad to know you're feeling better. Well wishes!

Randolph Tirazona

OMG! I say all of them starting with: "The Goonies!"

Alex Tan

BTW, when I suggested Jumanji, back in your October Q&A, it kinda got mixed in with the movies listed in my question about Robert Zemeckis movies, before you did the Colbert Questionnaire. Jumanji was actually directed by Joe Johnston, who did Jurassic Park III (2001) & Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

Eddie

The new Jumanji movies are fun, but they don't compare to the original.

DazzMetalStorm

Happy August and Wednesday. National Treasure, Dungeons and Dragons are both great films. I've been learning about D&D as a whole and the movie was what I needed. You're going to have a fun time. Glad you're feeling better. 👍🏻

Luis Fernandez

If the whole series is visited, I'd support watching Zathura after the first Jumanji

Keane

Addie I'm so glad to hear that you are now recovering from Covid. I hope that you'll be back to full strength soon. Really excited to see all your reactions for the new month. Take care :)

Billy Dancel

Please do not try to rush your recovery. Try to keep eating and rest up. Reactions can wait and so can we. The choices are outstanding!! Looking forward to what’s coming.

DazzMetalStorm

Zathura: A Space Adventure is also really good. Its Jumanji in space.

Andre Agog

Bill and Ted is most excellent

David Martin

I love all of these. Glad to see National Treasure on a poll, don’t see it as much with reactors.

Chip MC

feel better addie

Fawks

Why would you watch the new ones and not have interest in the original? Original is a top tier Robin Williams movie.

Brian Leonard

I am not much interested in jungle movies. Having The Rock and Karen Gillan in a movie together got me to see it.

Julian San

Jumanji has a lead on Bill & Ted?? SMH.

Alex Tan

...and speaking of Nicolas Cage, I also suggest The Rock (1996, directed by Michael Bay), Con Air (1997), Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000) & The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010), all produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, as well as Face/Off (1997) & Windtalkers (2002), both directed by John Woo, The Family Man (2000, directed by Brett Ratner), Ghost Rider (2007) & Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011), The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022), and Renfield (2023, a horror/comedy for Halloween). #MoreNicolasCageForAddieCounts

Let's make Jumanji (1995) & National Treasure (2004) tie each other so that Addie watches both movies.

LightsCameraJake

Bill and Ted is the most fun and highest rated movie on this list. I hope Addie watches it at some point. Its not a movie to sleep on. Most people here just never seen it which is why its doing poor in the poll. Its also the movie with the most unique and iconic soundtrack ever made to the point people play it at their weddings.

Deadstar

Bill and Ted is a party time, excellent!!

silverarrow06

Please vote for D&D people! 🙏🙏🤩 It is a great funny, touching and entertaining movie, far better then it's predecessors. Nearly everyone who watched this movie loved it. 😍 Jumanji had it's time in the nineties, but for me it didn't age well. 🤔🙂

Jesse Shadows

You should do another animation poll so The Iron Giant can win this time.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Hi Addie, sorry to hear you`ve been ill, I hope you are feeling much better with every day !!

Alex Tan

…and a Christopher Nolan poll. I would love to see Dunkirk (2017) & Tenet (2020) tie each other, although I predict Inception (2010) to win. Hopefully, those two are runner-ups if it were to happen.

PHILLIP CORNISH

Thank Addie for putting up 12 month memberships. I've put my £ where my mouth is and signed up. Keep them films posting, Lubs Phill.

Zachary Huneycutt

I hope you feel better soon, Addie. God bless you.

silverarrow06

😂 Yeah, let's see. If it doesn't age well too, I promise I won't vote for it. 😉 But I would guess it will become a guilty pleasure movie over the years. 🙂

Alex Tan

You're actually right. Because Addie watched Hugh Jackman in the X-Men film series, as well as The Greatest Showman (2017), The Prestige (2006) would be the actual runner-up. But only time will tell.

Doug Watson

The Goonies and National are great adventure movies! Plus you might recognize someone from The Goonies.

silverarrow06

And there we part ways. 🙂 I liked the movie when I saw it as a teenager and Iiked it for the story, not the (at the time great) cgi, but the way the story is told doesn't ring with me anymore. Everything in this movie screams "I'm from the nineties!" 😅 For me a true classic is timeless. I look at it 30, 40 or 50 years later and can't find anything one could do better now than at the time it was made. 🙂 I don't want take anything away from you, if you still like this movie - great! 🙂 For me it just isn't that movie anymore. The only thing that did age well in "Jumanji" is Robin Williams fantastic performance. 😊

Byrd N. Hand

I believe she'll recognize up to 5 people: one from LOTR, one from the MCU, one from both "Temple of Doom" and "Everything Everywhere All at Once," one from "The Matrix," and one from "Die Hard."
