It's almost time for this month's Q&A! Ask a question, any question!

Alex Tan

What romantic meal would Jeremy cook for you? You mentioned that your main worry about starting a P.O. box was that you would open up something that's snake-related. Are you open to getting them screened if you were to start one? It'll be a great precaution to prevent anything snake-related from scaring you. Speaking of snakes, how much better have you gotten with handling snake scenes in movies? Did you know that the original Top Gun (1986) was shot in Super 35 format to better accommodate the weight of the cameras inside the cockpit of the F-14's? It's explained in sections 48 to 56 of this article. https://theasc.com/articles/flying-high-with-top-gun And here's a split screen comparison of the widescreen (2.39:1) & full screen (1.33:1) versions side by side. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNh_dmsh1G8 Do you have a schedule for when your content drops on YouTube & Patreon? In your October 2022 Q&A, I noticed a new font used in the question captions. How does it compare to the older one from your previous Q&As from May to September 2022? Since you mentioned the ingredients of your perfect Addie-made sandwich, in your September 2022 Q&A, can we get the full recipe for it? Now that you're near 70k subscribers on YouTube, what would you like to name your fandom? Do you have any other Addie-made foods? Have you seen Grease (1978)? If so, what did you think of it and what was your favorite song & scene from the movie? Now that you've seen Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction (1994) & Inglourious Basterds (2009), would you ever consider doing a rewatch reaction to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)? Would you like to keep track of your heart rate in your movie reactions, especially with movies that make your heart race? Oh no! You've been shipped to military school, like Cadet Kelly. Would you rather endure a military obstacle course and get covered in mud all over your face and your camouflaged uniform or participate in the drill team and perform routines with plastic rifles along with some pretty cool dance moves?

Alex Tan

Now that you've seen Top Gun (1986) & Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), which were both directed by Tony Scott, would you like to check out more of his movies (including The Hunger (1987, for Halloween), Revenge (1990), *Days of Thunder (1990), The Last Boy Scout (1991), True Romance (1993, written by Quentin Tarantino), *Crimson Tide (1995), The Fan (1996), *Enemy of the State (1998), Spy Game (2001), Man on Fire (2004), Domino (2005), *Deja Vu (2006), The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (2009) & Unstoppable (2010))? *The asterisk on the left of the movie title indicates that it's produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Would you like to check out the movies of director Michael Bay (including *Bad Boys (1995), *Bad Boys II (2003), *The Rock (1996), *Armageddon (1998), *Pearl Harbor (2001), The Island (2005), Transformers (all five films), Pain & Gain (2013), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), 6 Underground (2019) and Ambulance (2022))? *The asterisk on the left of the movie title indicates that it's produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Would you like to check out the movies of director John Woo (including Last Hurrah for Chivalry (1979), Hard Boiled (1992), Hard Target (1993), Broken Arrow (1996), Face/Off (1997), Windtalkers (2002), Paycheck (2003), Red Cliff: Part 1 (2008), Red Cliff: Part 2 (2009), Reign of Assassins (2010))? Will you react to season 2 of I Am Groot? Which celebrity do you look like and which celebrity does Jeremy look like? Did you know that there is a feature on Disney+ called IMAX Enhanced? This is why several of the later MCU movies have switching aspect ratios, which were retained from their theatrical releases in IMAX and I think that it's the best feature on Disney+. (The Marvel Cinematic Universe in IMAX Enhanced | DTS Craft Masters Link: https://youtu.be/KdwE9grs1_4) In your last Q&A, you were suggested the movie Steel Magnolias (1989), which you did mention that you would watch on your own. Have you seen it yet? If so, what did you think of it? Speaking of watching on your own, what are your thoughts on any movies that have been suggested to you that you're more likely to watch on your own or already have watched on your own? Which t-shirts and sweaters do you usually wear with your necklace that has the letter A on it? Are there any t-shirts and sweater that you would like to wear with it in the future?

Alex Tan

Since you mentioned, in your very first May Q&A from last year, that you weren't satisfied with the editing style of your earlier reactions to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Ghostbusters (1984), Beetlejuice (1988) & Edward Scissorhands (1990), and that the original files for those were either missing or deleted, in your October Q&A, are you open to doing rewatch reactions to all of them and will that be on a Patreon poll? It would be very beneficial to your newer subscribers. How would you compare the intensity level of Pulp Fiction (1994) to all of the other intense non-horror thriller movies that you've watched for your channel and Uncut Gems (2019)? Would you like to check out some Adam Sandler comedy movies that you haven't already seen? Even though you're finding yourself more drawn to sci-fi/action movies, are you still open to watching more straight pure action movies and will that be on an upcoming Patreon poll? I suggest Con Air (1997) & Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000), both with Nicolas Cage and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, as well as Peter Yates's Bullitt (1968), William Friedkin's The French Connection (1971), John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Jan de Bont's Speed (1994), John Frankenheimer's Ronin (1998) & Reindeer Games (2000, for Christmas), F. Gary Gray's The Italian Job (2003), Clark Johnson's S.W.A.T. (2003) and Peter Berg's The Rundown (2003), The Kingdom (2007), Patriots Day (2016) & Mile 22 (2018), alongside the aforementioned Tony Scott & Michael Bay movies as well as the Rambo, Lethal Weapon, Mission: Impossible, The Fast and the Furious & Bourne film series. Will you react to Grindhouse (2007) (which includes Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror (2007) & Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof (2007))? Will you react to Jaws 2 (1978)? Will you react to Gran Turismo (2023) with David Harbour & Orlando Bloom, when it comes out on streaming? My girlfriend & I went to a special sneak preview screening of the movie in IMAX and we both enjoyed it. Which jump scare terrified you the most, during your reactions? So far, the ones that stood out for me are when Jeremy grabbed your shoulder near the end of your reaction to Jurassic Park (1993), The Joker hanging Brian's body in The Dark Knight (2008), The Riddler's first reveal in the shadows in The Batman (2022), the demobats flying across the Creel house in the Upside Down at the end of Stranger Things 4 Chapter 2: Vecna's Curse, the title cards in The Shining (1980), the Xenomorph behind Dallas in Alien (1979) that caused you to scream, the Darkhold Castle Guards awakening in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), a masked Safin suddenly appearing at young Madeleine Swann's window in the beginning of No Time to Die (2021), and Hooper discovering Ben Gardner's dead body in Jaws (1975).

Tom W.

Have you ever been recognized in public by a fan?

NickLovesMovies

Do you have any plans on watching any limited series in the future? Would love to see your reaction to shows like True Detective or Chernobyl.

Lord Byron

Have you watched Ted Lasso? Will you watch it on the channel?

Joseph Blankenship

In terms of education, what is your greatest interest? Something that you would learn about in your free time with podcast or something.

Nathan Swapp

Have you started the Ready Player One book? What do you think of it. (Cards on the table, I hate it soooo much)

Mathias

If you could, would you give up one of your 5 senses in exchange for a Billion dollars? If yes, which would you give up?

LightsCameraJake

Have you ever considered reacting to documentaries? Would you if some were recommended?

Randolph Tirazona

Do you know anything abou5 Star Trek? Would you consider reacting to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds?

Mr. Writhms

Wassa matta wit' you? Don't you like Westerns? [Imagine a New York/Brooklyn accent and please reply in that accent] 😁

Mr. Writhms

I second this question. Good one.

Rich

She has while watching stranger things I believe

Rich

I was just wondering where you currently stand with Chernobyl? It has been asked about before and you said it's on the list. I know it's a substantial list but I was curious if it was coming soon ish? Also any thoughts on the planet of the apes trilogy with Andy Serkis?

Zachary Huneycutt

My question for you is "What do you think of my poem 'The Fox Feet?'" I shared the link to the podcast episode in my July 22 message to you in your Patreon messages and go on at 1:44:30. My appearance on this episode is about ten minutes, give or take a couple minutes, and I also read the 1st poem I ever got published in Warp 10 Magazine on it as well. I wrote "The Fox Feet" when I was fifteen based on a fairytale my aunt made up and told me when I was a kid, and it is a really fun, rhythmic, off-beat poem that I like to share with people who have never heard my work before to break the ice and get them curious about my writing. You know I want you to read my stuff, Addie, so that's my question. I think you will really get a kick out of this one, and I'd love to hear your thoughts about the poem.

Byrd N. Hand

Not a question (so you don't have to address it in your Q&A video), just an October prep sheet, if you will. I know you're not crazy about horror movies, so I'll suggest a few less scary alternatives (though obviously we're going to expect you to watch a few genuine horror flicks). Movies with ties to the ones you watched last year: - "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal" -- the respective prequel and sequel to "The Silence of the Lambs" [should be a package deal] - "Doctor Sleep" -- sequel to "The Shining" (trust me, it's not nearly as scary) - "Prometheus" -- technically a prequel to "Alien," but I prefer to view it as an in-universe spinoff; alas, its follow-up, "Alien: Covenant," largely ran away from its central story Alfred Hitchcock's creepiest films: - "Psycho" - "The Birds" More comedic in nature: - "Young Frankenstein" (though you'd likely get more of the jokes if you saw the 1931 "Frankenstein" first) - "Ghostbusters" (would be a re-watch for you, obviously) and "Ghostbusters 2" (though it takes place around the holidays, culminating on New Year's Eve) - "Beetlejuice" (would also be a re-watch for you) - "Corpse Bride" - "Frankenweenie" More 'thriller-y' than scary: - "Wait Until Dark" - "Play 'Misty' for Me" - "The Dead Zone" - "Misery" More "Jaws"-level scary: - "Piranha" (1978) - "Tremors" - "Arachnophobia" Genuine horror flicks (as you said you probably couldn't go another 4th of July without seeing "Independence Day" or "Jaws," you probably can't go another October without seeing at least 2 of the following): - "Night of the Living Dead" (1968) and "Dawn of the Dead" (1978) [should be a package deal] - "The Exorcist" - "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974) - "The Omen" (1976) - "Suspiria" (1977) - "Halloween" (1978) - "The Fog" (1980) - "The Howling" - "An American Werewolf in London" - "Poltergeist" (1982) - "The Thing (1982) - "The Fly" (1986) Movies you can watch in either October *or* December: - "Black Christmas" (1974) - "Gremlins" (as long as you also eventually watch "Gremlins 2," which doesn't take place around the holidays) - "Edward Scissorhands" (another re-watch for you) - "Batman Returns" (obviously you'll have to watch 1989's "Batman" first) - "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (providing you haven't already seen it)

Chip MC

Hello, any chance of a site/folder/spreadsheet type thing where we can 1. request movies and 2. you can see the order of most requested to least?

Chip MC

Would you be interested in reacting to “Prey”, the prequel to “Predator”, since were at about the 1 year anniversary of its release?

Joe Mallard

Any great comedy reactions coming in the future?

Phil Stubblefield

My wife and I are about to embark on our first cruise! (To Alaska, in our case.) Have you ever gone on a cruise... *other* than a Disney cruise? 😉 If you were to do so, what would your preferred destination be? Alaska? The Caribbean? Perhaps a European river cruise?

Alex Tan

...and when watching The Dark Knight (2008), Squid Game (2021) and The Batman (2022).

Billy Dancel

Heyyy, it’s Bill-E and it feels like we did this just about a month ago 😂 You’re sitting here at 69K subs and by the time this video pops up, who knows. When the AMA video pops we’ll be close to the start of Ahsoka! Are you excited for the Ahsoka series? Will you be watching? (the first week will have 2 episodes/ Aug 23) I bet you’ll still enjoy it even if you haven’t watched the other series (SW Rebels or Clone Wars) Mix & Match and YoureMrLebowski have included you in their compilation videos. How does it feel to be included in a compilation video? I’m hoping to see you in a J2O compilation one day! (Johnny O’Dell) Your part 1 of The Fellowship of the Ring is missing sound for about 4 minutes. Any chance to fix and re-upload that? I think that’s plenty from me. I look forward to finding out your answers. Take care of yourself, Addie!! Hello there, Ollie!!

Luis Fernandez

When you watch movies, do you try to guess where the story will go, or do you just let yourself be taken for the ride? Since you are wrapping up the MCU and the X-Men, I'll suggest some single-titles and shorter (truncated) series based on comics: "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" (2010), "Sin City" (2005) -- there's a sequel, but IMO it is skippable, "Watchmen (Director's Cut)" (2009) -- the theatrical release is really lacking and the "Ultimate Cut" is too much, "Blade" I & II (1998, 2002), "Superman" I & II (1978, 1980), and "Batman" and "Batman Returns" (1989, 1992).

Alex Tan

Part 1 of Addie's reaction to FOTR is missing sound in the first 4 minutes due to copyrighted music in the Prologue.

Alex Tan

(A follow-up to the above question. Please read.) On an unrelated note, in your May Q&A from this year, you did mention you haven't been super interested in Westerns and were more drawn to space Westerns. Despite this, now that you've seen Logan (2017) & the John Wick film series (which had elements from Westerns), are you still open to watching actual Western movies for the channel and would that be on a future Patreon poll as well? I suggest the Dollars trilogy, Hang 'Em High (1968), Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970), Joe Kidd (1972), High Plains Drifter (1973), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Pale Rider (1985) and Unforgiven (1992), all with Clint Eastwood, as well as The Magnificent Seven (both 1960 & 2016 versions), Hombre (1967), Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Wild Bunch (1969), A Man Called Horse (1970), The Return of a Man Called Horse (1976), Jeremiah Johnson (1972), Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid (1973), Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974), Heaven's Gate (1980), Silverado (1985), Dances with Wolves (1990), Tombstone (1993), Maverick (1994), The Quick and the Dead (1995), Wild Wild West (1999), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) and No Country for Old Men (2007). *UPDATED as of 8-11-2023

Luis Fernandez

I would recommend never watching Wild Wild West, unless it is immediately followed by Kevin Smith's story about Superman Reborn.

Alex Tan

Speaking of Kevin Smith, I would also love to see Addie watch the entire View Askewniverse film series. #ViewAskewniverseForAddieCounts

Do you believe in fate and that things happens for a reason?

Byrd N. Hand

She should definitely see those 2 "Superman" and 2 "Batman" movies before she ever touches the DCEU.

Luis Fernandez

Agreed. And if the DCEU reactions never come, I won't be heartbroken (not a fan).

Alex Tan

Those work too.

Mathias

Is there a story behind your fear of snakes? Do you ever see yourself conquering that fear?

PHILLIP CORNISH

Would love a Chernobyl reaction having been there. Seen others but think Addie would enjoy. Anyway we can make this happen Addie 😘

silverarrow06

Do you plan to react to "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3"?

Byrd N. Hand

She's watching the whole MCU, so I'd be highly surprised if she skipped it... especially given that it's apparently one of the better-received post-Phase 3 items.

DazzMetalStorm

Have you watched any of the Terminator movies? If not, would you like to give them a watch in future?

Byrd N. Hand

She's done the first 2 for the channel. The second one getting blocked on YT has made her reluctant to continue the series, though (ditto "The Matrix"). I hope she eventually at least watches the third one (and the second and third "Matrix" movies). I'm pretty sure no other channels have had issues with the others.

PHILLIP CORNISH

Maybe just post on here and not YT. They are getting really funny and taking down a lot or videos. I hear YT are trying to charge creators for views now. 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

Will you be able to fit at least one more summertime movie in before the end of the month?

Lewis Thompson

What was favorite moment from each Phase Four project of the MCU? WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Black Widow, What If…?, Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Hawkeye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Werewolf by Night, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Alex Tan

...and may I throw in Spaceballs: The Movie (1987)?

Randolph Tirazona

Can't remember if I already asked one but... So, having experienced LotR how do you feel about Golum now?

DazzMetalStorm

What do you think of the Kang villain so far? Compared to Loki, Ultron and Thanos.
