Okay I give in, I'll give a modern Western a try! Help me choose a movie to watch next!

I’d also recommend the og Magnificent Seven! Older but great cast

Joel

Addie never misses with the entire poll being 10/10 choices

Mark Dahlen

All are good. Watch them all. But, Tombstone first...definitely

Patrick Egan

Skip all these and watch Silverado from 1985 :)

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for this poll. However, I ended up going with "Tombstone". Love that movie! Have a great day today! 😊

Chris

Is there anyway I can delete this mans account?

carbsix

Unforgiven and Open Range are the best on this list.... maybe try Pale Rider, The Outlaw Josie Wales, Dances With Wolves or Magnificent Seven (1960)

carbsix

... or The Quick and the Dead

Happy Tuesday, Addie. I'm sooo glad that you're finally giving the Western genre a chance. All are great choices but I think that a Coen Brothers double feature with No Country for Old Men (2007) & True Grit (2010) may be in your future, as well as a Disney Western double feature with Tombstone (1993, from Hollywood Pictures) & Open Range (2003, from Touchstone Pictures). I'm down for whatever wins. #MoreWesternsForAddieCounts

Hi Addie. I just wanted to say True Lies, a previous poll winner looks like it's available to stream on Hulu right now

Andrew Harrison

I voted for Tombstone, but Unforgiven would also be a solid choice.

Alex Tan

New objective, let's make Tombstone (1993) & No Country for Old Men tie each other so that Addie watches both. #MorePollTiesForAddieCounts

Chris

3:10 underrated

Rich

Great. I was unaware of this good news

Luis Fernandez

"No Country" is my favorite on the list, but I went with "Open Range" cos I think Addie might enjoy it the most.

LightsCameraJake

Honestly I've only ever seen No country for old men on this list, and I don't consider that a "western" film despite it taking place in such a setting. A great film none the less and gets my vote though.

Mr. Writhms

Eastwood's "Pale Rider" (1985)

Billy Dancel

My vote has a good possibility. Only two of these I haven’t seen. One has an outside chance to win. I would be happy to watch it if it wins.

Julian San

Hell yeah, TOMBSTONE! Amazing performances and some all time some classic lines.

Cole Jennett

Smart choice not putting “Maverick” on here.😂 It was pretty polarizing on PiB even though she liked it more then any other western she’s watched. Tombstone gets my vote!

Jim Finley

A hard poll - every one of these is great. I hope, whichever one win, you get to all the others on this list too.

Kyle Brandon Sanger

A vote for "No Country for Old Men", a rare perfect film.

Getoff Mylawn

Too bad about "Open Range" recieving so few votes, it's such an amazing movie. But barring that, Tombstone will be great.

Alex Tan

Addie, I should also mention that Back to the Future Part III (1990) did have Western elements in that movie.

Alex Tan

Another genre that I would love to see you watch more of, pure action movies. I suggest Con Air (1997) & Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000), both with Nicolas Cage and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, as well as Bullitt (1968), The French Connection (1971), Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Speed (1994), Ronin (1998), Reindeer Games (2000, for Christmas), The Italian Job (2003), S.W.A.T. (2003), The Rundown (2003), The Kingdom (2007), Patriots Day (2016) and Mile 22 (2018), as well as the Rambo, Lethal Weapon, Mission: Impossible, The Fast and the Furious, Bourne and The Equalizer film series. #MorePureActionMoviesForAddieCounts

Jim Schmitz

"Unforgiven" in honor of recently deceased actor/director Clint Eastwood.

Joe M

Have no problem with Tombstone winning, but Definitely should do a reaction for the second place winner; No Country for Old Men.

Laxjedi

After she inevitably enjoys whichever of these wins the poll, I think it may take two separate polls for any future selections/reactions to the “dirty/gritty/New Hollywood era” Westerns; 1960-1969, and 1970-1990. Heck, you’d probably need 3 polls just for the 1960s because there were so many good ones. While I love me some of the pre 1960s OG Westerns, those aren’t going to do as well on a reaction channel.

Naji

Not enough people are reacting to Bone Tomahawk. That's one of the best Westerns ever.

Naji

Also, The Hateful Eight should be on this list.

Laxjedi

Haha yep; “Maverick” and “Blazing Saddles” are my two favourite comedy/parody/spoof Westerns (out of several very good ones), but none of those belong on a true “Westerns” poll.

Luis Fernandez

A good movie but Addie isn't a big fan of horror.

Alex Tan

Clint Eastwood is still alive. His next movie is Juror No. 2 and it will be his final film before he retires.

Jim Schmitz

Ok, YouTube news had several pieces that indicated a recent death. After rechecking, I'm not convinced they're true.

Jim Schmitz

Ok, there is some discrepancy regarding Clint Eastwood's death. But it's still a great film.

Jim Schmitz

Yeah, that, too. I guess 'fake news' found another sucker...

Jim Schmitz

There are also older, classic westerns, like Shane, High Noon, and The Searchers.

Alex Tan

I grew up with the 2003 remake with Mark Wahlberg. The 1969 original was more of a comedy caper while the 2003 remake was more of a straightforward heist action movie, which is why I suggested it to Addie. When looking at those two versions, I found myself preferring the 2003 version so in actuality, I would love to see her watch the latter, first and foremost all the way, but I do hope that she watches both versions. #TheItalianJob2003ForAddieCounts

Forget it. The demographics of this medium (younger) means older, classic films don't stand a chance in polls. For most reactors, the only time you'll see older films is if the reactor doesn't rely on a poll to establish content. Some have a once-a-month reactor's choice.
