Here's the full length reaction to Halloween! Based on your suggestions, I decided to watch this one before Scream (our latest poll winner). After watching this one, I have to say that people in horror movies make some DUMB decisions hahaha. I mean, I would probably make some dumb decisions in a panic, but... REALLY?? Enjoy!

Torchwood79

I’m pretty excited for this one. Halloween is my favorite horror franchise, despite all the multiple timeline’s and bad sequels. If you have any questions, or confusion regarding this series, ask away. I’m always more than happy to discuss Halloween. 🎃

Alex Tan

Let's give Addie a round of applause for surviving Halloween (1978). 👏👏 Happy Thursday. This story about Michael Myers and Laurie Strode is one of my favorite horror movies ever made and my girlfriend & I like this one. Now you're ready for Scream (1996). Fingers crossed that when you do your opening to the YT cut of that movie, you do an actual scream before your signature "👋 Heyy it's Addie and today we're watching Scream.", unless you want to give us a jump scare at the end of that reaction. BTW, nice butterfly tattoo.

Mr. Writhms

The dumb decisions is all part of the characters in the old school slashers. If they all did the smart things there would be no fun. haha... Nice going!😁👌

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 This movie is always a must-watch during this time of the year. Fun Fact: This was actress Jamie Lee Curtis' first movie. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening, in the dark, with a big bowl of popcorn. Have a great day today! 😊

Alex Tan

You've also seen Eddie Munson wear a Michael Myers mask in Stranger Things 4.

Julian San

Lmao how is this woman still alive to even upload this reaction? Seeing how she reacted to Shining, Jaws and even recently Prey, this is an OG horror movie with legitimate jumps scares that will take out the strongest of horror novices, let alone weakest.

LightsCameraJake

Slasher movies are full of dumb people making dumb choices, just horror trope after horror trope 😂

sarCC

Woohoo! Can't wait to get home from being out of town and decompress by watching Addie watch one of my comfort movies 🎃

Alex Tan

LOL. You'll be fine by the time you watch Scream (1996). Hopefully that reaction comes tomorrow. Please be brave, Addie. You go girl.

Addie Counts

Your definition of comfort movie is much different than mine hahaha

Chip MC

sweet! can’t wait to watch this later. thanks for doing this reaction!

Patrick Egan

Did Eddie wear one? I know Max did when they went trick-or-treating in Season 2

Alex Tan

Yes, he did. It was when they stole an RV.

Alex Tan

Speaking of John Carpenter, I also suggest Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981), The Thing (1982), Christine (1983), Starman (1984), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987), They Live (1988), Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992), In the Mouth of Madness (1994), Village of the Damned (1995), Escape from L.A. (1996), Vampires (1998), and Ghosts of Mars (2001). #MoreJohnCarpenterForAddieCounts

And the scary Addie-ventures begins! 27:10 ... We've seen you get jump-scared before but never frozen in place. That's new. All of the music cues did their part. You would tense up and use your hands to cover up. Effective. All of the other Halloween movies, Laurie (JLC) is stalked by Michael. Does he kill her? Does she kill him? Since you likely won't watch what happens I'll let you google it and find out. Halloween is now marked off the list. Great job! Take care of yourself, Addie!! You totally could have used Ollie by your side for this!

Alex Tan

…and we've seen Addie scream again since Alien (1979), but FOUR times this time.

Joe Mallard

Even the worst movies are better than Scream. Ha

Mr. Writhms

Very brave reaction, Addie! John Carpenter wanted it to end here. He wanted people to leave the theater afraid, knowing Michael was still out there. But because of the success of the movie (being the most profitable independent film off all time, at the time) he was pushed into writing a ($$$) sequel, but did not direct it. "Halloween II" (1982 - which was pretty good, starring Jamie Lee Curtis) was penned by Carpenter and that was supposed to be the END-end, as far as Carpenter was concerned. But the studio kept putting out cheesy sequel after sequel for cash grabs. And now there are reboot movies and so on. But I don't expect you would do Halloween II, next year perhaps? Nah-- I guess you've been through enough. Bravo.

Joe Mallard

I thoroughly enjoyed that reaction! Halloween 2018 is the only other one really worth watching, the rest just build the lore around Michael.

Byrd N. Hand

I'd say try *not* to psych yourself out so much for these movies before you've even pushed 'play' on them. That way you won't possibly age 10 years over the next month. 😵‍💫 Think zen mode. 🧘‍♀ P.S. Would you be interested in 'dressing up' for reactions later in the month? It doesn't have to be full costume (as I've seen a couple reactors do), just something semi-Halloween-ish and unintrusive. Just a fun idea; no big deal if you don't.

Steve SG-1

What are the chances you'll react to these horror movies late at night? Muhahaha 😈

PHILLIP CORNISH

Did we almost get the F bomb Addie 😂😘

Alex Tan

That reminded me of when you got jumpscared by the Riddler in the shadows at the beginning of The Batman (2022) in which you let out an F-bomb, something that you didn't mean to do. That was one of my favorite Addie jump scares along with Jeremy grabbing your shoulder at the end of Jurassic Park (1993).

Randolph Tirazona

Exactly, wasn't that way for a long time. This is exactly the reason why I couldn't get into a lot of them since the mid 80's.

Jason Schuler

I know I'm gonna anger a lot of the older folks, but I find this movie incredibly boring. One of my least favorite horror movies. And I don't really buy the claim that it was just a product of its time, because the very next year my all-time favorite horror movie released: Alien.

LightsCameraJake

Alien set a genre defining standard as far as suspense. The alien itself is only on screen a total of a couple min of the entire first movie too. It was just directed so well. It too is my favorite sci fi horror movie. However, I wouldnt classify Halloween as boring by any stretch but its very predictable. Most "slasher" type horror movies are.

Thomas Yanez

You know it's gonna be a bumpy ride when less than 5 minutes into the movie, Addie is dropping an F-bomb before she can censor herself. 😃 Congratulations on making it through this one!

Alex Tan

Yay. I haven't seen Addie go 'karate chop' since The Shining (1980) & The Dark Knight (2008).

Julian San

Those are the best. Those few & far between reactions when she curses is like stumbling across a diamond ring in the sand while at the beach.

Troy Sinegal

I know Addie it's terrifying watching horror movies. For October 2024 if I could recommend some comedy Halloween movies I feel that would be good. Maybe you can get a good laugh

Troy Sinegal

Although, just for curiosity sake if you want to just want see where Michael Myers picks back up, watch Halloween II. One of the few sequels I recommend and the one I believe you'll only want to watch
