I can fit one more Halloween-ish movie in before the end of the month! (If you missed the post yesterday, I'm also planning on watching The Thing, our runner up from the last poll) Let's finish out October with something fun!

Zombielamd and T&D are very much worth your time, in my opinion. They are both in the same vein of being more of a spoof of their genres. I also think you would enjoy the Transylvania film very much…..just my two cents….

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for this poll. It came down to "Casper" and "Zombieland". Ultimately, "Casper" got my vote just because it's a sweet movie. Have a great day today! 😊

sarCC

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is very sweet(yet very gory). What We Do In The Shadows is incredibly funny(same humor as The Office) and has spun off two TV shows that are unbelievably great.

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are great choices but (just like Randee Carreno) my votes belong to Casper (1995) & Zombieland (2009).

Rich

Yes. Wellington paranormal on HBO.

sarCC

While I do love FX's WWDITS show, I find Wellington Paranormal way funnier and more consistently great (It originally ran on TV on New Zealand, then The CW aired it the past 2 years in the US...and it showed up on [HBO]Max shortly after.).

sarCC

Another spinoff was mentioned very early on, almost immediately after the film came out, but has yet to be made, entitled "We're Wolves."

Zachary Huneycutt

I see you slipped Coraline in there. Yes!!! That's awesome! Thanks for including my choice for animated features, Addie. I appreciate it. :) (Whether it wins or not, you should watch it, even if it's on your own. It's quite an experience, it's all Claymation, and it's from the company Laika, the same animation studio that made the looking inside Mark Twain's mind animated movie, which is also quite strange and intriguing, i.e. The Mysterious Stranger-look up the scene on YouTube if you want to be like "what the frik did I just watch?" Which would probably be your reaction.

Zachary Huneycutt

Oh, and I vote for Coraline, because I still can't click the box for it, for some reason.

Mr. Writhms

My vote is "Monster House". It's the scariest movie on this list, in my opinion. Though it's animated horror/comedy, it has some well done creepy scenes. And the character art is scary in itself. Yikes... Those creepy looking kids. lol

LightsCameraJake

I swear Addie has seen Zombieland, but it could be just so many reactors watched it this year I have lost track.

PHILLIP CORNISH

Have a fab weekend all. Its US F1 GP time. Looking forward to more reactions next week.

Luis Fernandez

Heh, that Mark Twain movie was a game changer for me as a kid. I both loved and hated it.

Luis Fernandez

Haven't watched Scary Movie in ages, and I'm guessing it is probably pretty dated, but it was fun and goofy so it got my vote. Too late for this year, but next year please consider including "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein" in your list of fun October movies.

Gcvftw

I've noticed that Zombieland and Tucker/Dale have been the trend this week with reactioners. Not sure if that's the intent or not, but it gets a little redundant watching the same movie for a few different people.

Phil Stubblefield

Aren't there any more Hitchcock movies we can count as valid October fare?!? I enjoyed _Psycho_ *so* much more than the typical scare-fare. How about _The Birds_, one of the original and best creature features?

Tenn Seven

I could have sworn she's seen Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, probably for the same reason.

Thomas Yanez

Yeah, I knew they had been talking about a werewolf spin-off but I somehow completely whiffed on "Wellington Paranormal".

Thomas Yanez

I, for one, do not care. What other people react to doesn't change my desire to see HER react to a given movie. I'm not here to watch the movie. I'm here to watch HER watch the movie.

zynjams

because the reactors have some list and pick the same movies I guess.

zynjams

and the mist, and the thing,

Thomas Yanez

Its weird how anything stop-motion has become "claymation" for many, despite claymation being a subset of stop-motion. Recently, I had to facepalm when another reactor referred to the animation of ED-209 in "Robocop" as "claymation".

Zachary Huneycutt

Ha ha, I've been told. I appreciate the clarification. Thanks, guys.

Zachary Huneycutt

I saw it when I was older, but had I been a kid, that scene with Satan would have kept me up at night. But I enjoy the Biblical and Paradise Lost vibes it evokes.

Alex Tan

I would love to see Addie watch the ENTIRE Naked Gun film series.

Alex Tan

I second Casper (1995). She'll be touched by that movie once she watches it.

Luis Fernandez

You can't really blame "Scary Movie" for Hollywood taking their idea and producing lesser quality versions. But admittedly I don't like "Scary Movie" as much as I like "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" or "Don't be a Menace...", both of which I'd much prefer to watch than "Top Secret!" or the "Naked Gun" sequels (the first "Naked Gun" was top notch, as were the two "Airplane" movies).

Eh. Kind of a crappy list if you ask me lol but I guess Zombieland is the winner. Only thing is I’ve seen a bunch of other reactors do it recently and I’m not keen on watching this movie yet again lol

Julian San

For real! lol! Admittedly there are some movies where I will watch it over and over again like Tremors or Pyscho, but Zombieland (even though I like it) is not one of them.

scottbb

Sorry, too late to recommend Cabin In The Woods for this. Would have been *perfect*.

BubblyRainbows

It's because their viewers GIVE them the same list. Watch a reaction to a certain movie, and you'll get a thousand recommendations for the same two related movies. For example, watch "Gladiator," get a slew of recommendations for "Troy" and "Master and Commander." Watch "Alien," get recs for "Aliens" and "Predator," and so forth. If a reactor wants happy viewers, they kind of need to add those popular movies to their list sooner or later. And then they put them in a poll, and the majority votes for them. I mean... "Zombieland" and "Tucker & Dale vs. Evil" will run away with this poll. A reactor can hold a handful of popular suggestions for a later time, but if they react to a ton of obscure movies, they don't get the engagement they need for a successful channel. A lot of people say reactors are all working off the same list, and it's kind of true, but not in the way people think. Seriously, go through the YouTube comments on different reactors' channels for the same movie (search up five different reactors' reactions to "The Shawshank Redemption, for example." Go through the comments, and I guarantee you'll see lots of recommendations, but you'll see a million comments recommending two of three specific movies. I get why people get tired of seeing reactors do the same movies at similar times, but most of them are working from the same popular suggestions that show up on all of the reactions. I mean, if you want a successful reaction channel, and you get 1000 recommendations for "Zombieland" and 5 suggestions for "Night of the Living Dead," it's pretty clear which one you'll get the best response with. I mean... I know there's been a lot of reactions to "Zombieland" and "Tucker and Dale" this year, but at the time of writing this, those two movies have 154 votes, and everything else on the list combined has 160. So despite all the other reactors doing them, it's pretty clear that a lot of Addie fans still want to see her do them. There are a lot of movies I haven't seen reactions to that I'd love to see, but I know they just aren't popular enough to draw a wide audience. The big, popular choices will always beat them.

Richard Maurer

Wow, Zombieland & Tucker and Dale are the only really good movies in this poll. So I voted for both of them.

sarCC

Maybe a few Halloweens from now. Too many first-time reactors watch that before watching many other horror movies, which results in a lot of nonplussed reaction videos. Much like Scream, it helps to have watched a wide variety of horror movies before tackling it.

Just block them. I did it straight away.
