Here's the full length reaction to Ford v Ferrari! This movie surprised me, and I didn't expect to be so invested in the story so quickly! It's so well done, and Matt Damon and Christian Bale are both incredible in this. The ending definitely brought on some tears. Enjoy!

Happy Wednesday, Addie. Ford v Ferrari (2019) is one awesome ride. My dad & I saw it in IMAX when it first came out and we enjoyed it. Another racing movie that I would definitely recommend to you, that also depicts 24 Hours of Le Mans, is Gran Turismo (2023). #GranTurismoForAddieCounts

Speaking of James Mangold, who directed this movie, The Wolverine (2013), Logan (2017) & Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), I also suggest Heavy (1995), Cop Land (1997), Girl, Interrupted (1999), Kate & Leopold (2001), Identity (2003), the 2008 EXTENDED CUT of Walk the Line (2005), 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and the EXTENDED CUT of Knight and Day (2010). #MoreJamesMangoldForAddieCounts

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 I've only seen this movie once or twice. So, I'm glad that it ended up winning the poll. And I forgot that Josh Lucas was also in it. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Another great movie with Josh Lucas that I very highly recommend is the 2002 rom com "Sweet Home Alabama". Have a great day today! 😊

Speaking of Josh Lucas, I also suggest The Hulk (2003). He plays Glenn Talbot in that movie. #TheHulk2003ForAddieCounts

Big F1 fan but never seen this so looking forward it. Never had Addie down for this kind of genre but respect for looking. 😀

One of the coolest true stories about racing out there! Btw addie. Another film that was in the zoom zoom poll based on a true story is "Rush" it's about F1 and stars Chris Hemsworth! Also worth checking out!

PHILLIP CORNISH

Great film that was. I second "Rush" also "Days of Thunder" with Tom. Its a shame that the Mulsanne Straight today is not what is was then.

I drive some classic cars at Le Mans in GT7 and it's super sketchy. Motorsports in those days were super dangerous. Michael Fassbender races in real life and there's an excellent docu-series on Youtube called Michael Fassbender: Road to Le Mans. The editing and filming is top notch.

Luis Fernandez

The next 24 Hours of Le Mans race is on June 15-16. It is pretty fun even if you casually monitor the race as it goes. You can pick a team and cheer for it as the day/night goes on. in other news, Jon Bernthal, who played Lee Iacocca, will probably give you mixed emotions as your MCU journey continues (but not for a while).

Cliff Adams

I trained with Carroll's school at Riverside, and knew Carroll, Ken, and Phil (and more of the school staff). Carroll showed a few of us how he made chili. The Ford J-car was never developed well from a bad design. Too much lift at highest speeds. Ken's test drive lifted the J-car near the end of the back straight at Riverside, and when it came down, it broke into pieces, ejecting Ken. He died hitting the track. Few drivers were ever as kind and generous as Ken.

Once again, Addie cries for our viewing entertainment.

EDIT: Anybody has just as much right to suggest a movie as I do. Just because I didn't like a particular movie doesn't mean other people would feel the same way.

Alex Tan

I third Days of Thunder (1990). That's one of my favorite Tony Scott movies. #DaysOfThunderForAddieCounts

Anytime, @Phil Stubblefield.

Now she needs to watch an animated movie to cleanse her palette.

Mister Lou

you do such a great job, I love your reactions! you're raw emotions remind me of how I felt, watching these same things for the first time! Keep up the good work.

You ever notice that when executive decisions are made and ends up benefitting everyone, it's never by an actual executive? Beebe made decisions for Ford's legacy but was always in his own favor. The stupid captioning on my tv screen was messed up so I didn't catch the line about "Getting out of the car" the first time. It did make a lot of sense at the end. I laughed out loud so much during the fight on the corner and before I could catch my breath, Mollie tops it off by pulling out the lawn chair!! I hope you can include as much of that as possible! I'm surprised we didn't get a visit from Ollie. Does he not like to go out for a ride?

I do really enjoy this one but the Josh Lucas character is a little over the top. I imagine it’s to avoid making Henry Ford the villain. I haven’t seen the Adam Driver Ferrari yet but I’m definitely keen. It’s kind of the miracle of Hollywood that they can make wealthy corporate titans sympathetic and even feel like underdogs. If you’ve never seen Speed Racer it’s kind of incredible and hugely underrated. Highly recommended. Comparing that live action cartoon with its piranha wielding gangsters and Viking themed race teams with this very serious biopic is fun because [insert The Office Meme] they’re the same picture.

Haha he likes his car trips! He went to the vet last week though, so he wants to stay away from cars for a little while hahaha

For another movie in which Christian Bale completely transforms himself and doesn't seem like the same person, see "The Fighter" (2010) which includes Mark Wahlberg and Amy Adams.

such a fantastic movie!
