I've been crying a lot in movies lately, so let's watch something fun together!

More people need to see R.E.D

Sean

Anchor Man is so quotable.

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 All fantastic movies in this poll. "The Big Lebowski" ended up getting my vote for this one. Have a great day today! 😊

KarmaSin

There are some really good ones here, but definitely hoping Ted wins lol.

Patrick Egan

Definitely have to vote for D&D: Honor Among Thieves! As a longtime D&D player I was very pleased with how it turned out considering how bad the previous movies were. Thankfully this one has no connection to those turds. Plus, I thought they did a really good job making this movie accessible for people who have never played the game. They explain as much lore as they need to for you to follow along, and give you a fun adventure story.

zynjams

Red so good

Sora704

You want fun? Definitely Bruce Almighty, or well just about anything with Jim Carrey in it really

Zachary

I picked Anchorman but I personally love A Fish Called Wanda and think it's truly underrated.

sarCC

A Fish Called Wanda, Honor Among Thieves, and Anchorman are all excellent, fun, funny movies! Caddyshack is as well, but it is a little too random.

QuiGon_Jim

Also, some recommendations; 'Leon: The Professional' (1994), 'Road to Perdition'(2002), 'In Bruges' (2008) and 'The Banshees of Inisherin' (2022)

David Noone

Hey Addie! great list, Lebowski has my vote. "In Bruges" , a dark comedy, would be my suggestion for the future

Mark Dahlen

So tough. Deciding between Otto and The Dude!

Alex Tan

Happy Tuesday, Addie. A comedy will cheer you up after a string of tearjerkers that made you cry tears and you're definitely due for one that'll make you cry laughing. All are great choices but my votes go to Bruce Almighty (2003), Ted (2012, UNRATED) and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023).

Jasbro

Red is such a fantastic movie with a stellar cast, its a damn travesty that i've not seen any people react to it, nobody i watch anyway.

Alex Tan

NEW OBJECTIVE: Let's make The Big Lebowski (1998), Anchorman: The Legend of Rob Burgundy (2004) and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) tie each other so that Addie watches ALL THREE movies.

Phil Stubblefield

I'd vote for _A Fish Called Wanda_ for straight up comedy or _RED_ for action/comedy! I recognize that I'm in the minority, but I'm rarely interested in *anything* starring Will Ferrell. His brand of humor usually strikes me as stupid rather than funny.

Mark Conroy

Look for Jen Murray she has reacted to RED

Zachary

It's that generation gap. There's a complete generation that never heard of the Sixth Sense that are reacting to it now and are shocked even though the twist was in the Zeitgeist for the longest. A Fish Called Wanda is hilarious has a Oscar-winning performance and it just gets lost in the shuffle to newer films. All that to say is that I get it why it won't win a poll given the competition and year these other films came out.

LightsCameraJake

Just got done watching gremlins 2 with Addie. That was one of the most entertaining reacts on the channel. Don't think more than 30 seconds went by before something happened that caused me to laugh.

Rusty Childers

Highly recommend D&D Honor Among Thieves. Good, fun time. (Also, checking out The Legend of Vox Machina tv show on Amazon Prime when you get a chance.) All of these choices are great in their own way though.

Phil Stubblefield

Wow, I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone frame the discussion so well: "smart-stupid" versus "stupid-stupid". I love it! 👍👍

Rusty Childers

Stranger Than Fiction is easily his best movie. I agree though, all of those SNL-descended actors (and similar folks like Jim Carrey) work best when they are constrained by the nature of their roles and have to dig into the drama of what they are doing before getting to the comedy.

Julian San

Eh, I’m not much of a comedy genre fan even though I’ve seen most of these movies. Still, I only voted for Anchorman. 🤷‍♂️

Happy Hanukkah

Several excellent choices in this poll; how fortunate for me it's multi-vote.

Clay F

1. THE BIG LEBOWSKI (1998) is my favorite in the poll. Jeff Bridges, John Goodman (my favorite performance), Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman (R.I.P.) all give excellent performances. 2. I have read that D&D (2023) is good, but have not seen it. "An infectiously good-spirited comedy with a solid emotional core." I played D&D 40 years ago. My daugther currently plays with her friends. 3. A Fish Called Wanda (1988) seemed complex to me. I liked it. Kevin Kline as you've never seen him before. 4. Caddyshack (1980) is a classic. 5. I am a Will Ferrell fan. He is hilarious. Delivers on demeanor. A talented guy. He is good in Talladega Nights and Anchorman.

Doug

Wow, A Fish Called Wanda is a throwback, I haven't seen that one mentioned in a long time! It was a good movie though. 👍

aarswft

Pulling for D&D so hard

Chip

Anchorman is comedy gold.

Joe Mallard

Can't believe the best modern comedy is dead last, especially one with a fantastic prequel TV show that just came out that holds nothing back.

Clay F

Popcorn in Bed recently reacted to A Fish Called Wanda.

BubblyRainbows

Would have loved to join her for "Gremlins 2" myself, but unfortunately, we don't own a copy and I didn't see it available on any of the streaming services we subscribe to. The unfortunate downside of full reactions. But at least I'll see the YouTube edit when I can.

Doug

Ted isn't dead last (A Fish Called Wanda is), but it is for sure a very funny movie!

David Bennett

I voted for SEVEN of the nine, cause there are SO MANY good choices!!

Happy Hanukkah

Right now, Lebowski and D&D are neck-and-neck at the top. To quote the meme, why not both? Lebowski is an absurdist comedy that's a spoof of classic noir films, while D&D is a fun and good-hearted fantasy adventure with comic elements.

sarCC

I'm so happy Honor Among Thieves might overtake the dude movie!
