Here's the full length reaction to Fargo! This movie is so good! There were definitely a lot of heavy moments in this movie, but I appreciated how funny it was too! Such a great balance. Enjoy!

I also didn't know that there were so many Coen Brothers fans over here! I'm planning on watching O Brother Where Art Thou this week, and I'll try to fit in True Grit here soon!

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I'm glad that this movie ended up winning the poll. It's been so long since I've seen it. Definitely looking forward to revisiting this movie later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Fargo (1996). This movie, The Big Lebowski (1998) & No Country For Old Men (2007) are on my watchlist. It looks like you're in for a Coen Brothers QUADRUPLE feature, which follows with O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) & True Grit (2010) coming up.

SUPER happy you're going to watch 'O Brother Where Art Thou'! Very much looking forward to seeing that video.

there is also a Fargo TV show that maybe in your own time is a good watch if you find yourself bored!

I would pay cash money to watch Addie maniacally scrape ice off her car windshield like a rabid dog. Bring the 🍿

Really fun movie :) When my mom was a kid, back in the 1940s, she spent her summers at her grandmother's in a small town in Minnesota. During that time she picked up the accent, along with all the " ooh ya, you betcha" and whatnot, which she can switch on and off. This was quite amusing when I was a kid. Mom also has a Christmas tree ornament of a woodchipper with a foot wearing a sock sticking out of it ...

I've watched "Fargo" many times from beginning to end and never tire of the performances and the writing. I always enjoy seeing actor John Carroll Lynch (Norm Gunderson) in his many supporting roles in film and TV - very creepy as one of the Zodiac suspects in "Zodiac" (2007) but a Zen-like martial artist role model in "The Walking Dead" (2015). Frances McDormand has given many great performances throughout her continuing career, though some may slip below the radar. May I suggest "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" (2017) for another Frances bravura portrayal along with a great supporting cast.

On her own time? How DARE you?! lol

“I also didn't know that there were so many Coen Brothers fans over here!”—Addie. You’re 3 movies in and you’ve watched “Fargo”. You’re one of us now. The cool thing about the Coen Brothers is that they also wrote and edited all their movies. A lot of big name filmmakers can’t say that. Not to mention some un-credited writing for other movies like “Bad Santa”. So yah, thanks if ya get ta "True Grit" there. That'll be great then. Oh Yah...

I only said that because realistically she has 1000 other shows people want her to watch for the channel so what are the actual chances that she would get to it any time even in the near future? 😆

Please watch the John Wayne true grit first

Frances McDormand married Joel Coen in 1984 and has been in many of their films including Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, Fargo, and others. She won an Academy Award for Best Actress in Fargo as well.

As much as I'd be down for watching Fargo on this channel, Addie did mention in a Q&A that, for TV series at least, she's sticking mainly to shorter run ones to avoid having a big time commitment to a single show. (The Fargo TV series has about 50 episodes so far and is still going well. 🙂) But yeah, I've seen the first season of Fargo and it's great! (It was also cool seeing the callback at the fence rewatching this film to its subsequent appearance in the TV series.)

It's one of those deceptively simple plots that the Coens love - some guy who isn't as bright as he thinks he is plans a crime, enlists a couple of idiots to do the crime, then sees it all spiral out of control... I think it's the little character moments that make it. The supporting cast too - the Coens never waste a minor character.

Addie this might be a dumb random question, is that a "The Midnight" shirt? The one and best Retro Wave band ever? Went to see them live before covid. They are great. Wish more people knew about them. Slow danced with a girl to one of their songs at a live show, and now we been dating for over a year, its how we met :)

Mr. Writhms

The Fargo TV series is a different story and cast with each season. She can stop at any time.

Ms. McDormand is deep in Oscar lore, she's been awarded 3 best actor Oscars, the other two for "3 Billboards..." and in 2021 for Nomadland. That puts her in the same rarified air as Daniel Day-Lewis, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks, who also have 3. Only Kate Hepburn has more with 4. Besides McDormand and Buscemi, other frequently seen folk in Coen films are John Goodman, George Clooney, John Turturro, Stephen Root, Josh Brolin, JK Simmons, Richard Jenkins and John Polito. Put me down as a fan who would love to see you begin watching Fargo the TV series. It's an anthology series with only minor connections between seasons, so no need to commit to multiple seasons, just start with the first.

Awww, what a sweet story! Yes, it is a "The Midnight" shirt :)

Michael Badalucco has also appeared in 3 Coen films, as has Holly Hunter (albeit one appearance being an uncredited voiceover) and Bruce Campbell (albeit all of his roles largely being cameos). And there are numerous other actors who have appeared in 2 films apiece, just to give a sampling: Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, John Mahoney, Tony Shalhoub, Charles Durning, M. Emmet Walsh, Michael Lerner, and Billy Bob Thornton, for starters.

Mr. Writhms

I think John Carpenter is the only big name director that does his own music scores. That's formidable.

Hi from Macedonia, Europe 😊 I love your reactions so much! Would you please answer my message, just for a second? I'd be so grateful 😊🙏🙏🙏
