Yeah, it's kinda difficult to explain. I like drawing fantasies about them. But you can consider these hardcore fantasies as a different story in a parallel universe. Honestly there are ways to have it be both. My husband and I are closed but occasionally open up on vacation or something. Rarely once or twice a year but it's still closed 99% of the time

Once or twice a year is much it's not 1% for me it's much and it's not "rare" ? For me it's not close it's an open relationship. I respect any kind of relationship. I believe that each relationship has different dynamics and that can change from person to person. The only important thing for me is to be happy with your partner and keep the respect between each other.

Amen ❤️ I agree and respect everyone and every relationship even if I don't want the same as them. All you said is true and is the most important, the most important too is to have the same desire as our partner. If some want to see others but one don't want it, it can't work and they are not meant for eachother.

Highly recommend Dan Savage's book monogamous. I also don't see sex as marking or claiming someone or have taboos for it. I don't need a relationship for sex and don't need sex for a relationship. It's just an activity you can do as part of your relationship. I also like doing it together because nothing feels hidden. Again though, if either of us were to have sex without being together or permission, it's cheating. The thing about being open, no matter if it's fully open or occasionally open like us, is it takes communication. I'm not comfortable with being fully open and honestly neither is he. However we do find occasional threesome and group stuff adds to our relationship and sex life rather than subtracts. If it ever did the opposite, we would change it.
