BREAKING NEWS: it has been officially confirmed by crunchy roll that time square in NYC will feature the season finale of the sword smith village arc on the big screen

....I'm very divided emotionally because I live in NYC but I'm leaving 3 days before the finale. And I would have loved to watch it on a big screen with friends... ...but I'm what I'm leaving for is to go to Japan for three weeks. So not complaining, but seeing it with my NYC friends would've been really cool.

If your confused that is a demon slayer mark that mitsuri has. It’s basically the same thing that tanjiro and muichiro received while in battle. The mark also represents their breathing style (tanjiro and yoriichi represent sun. Muichiros mark of clouds represents mist and the hearts on Mitsuris neck represent love)

As a manga reader, I have been waiting for Tanjiro's "She is our ray of hope!" line for a good long while. This is one of the best episodes for me to say that I feel the anime is superior to the manga. Kanroji looks _so_ good in the anime, and not just for the motion. Her facial expressions, especially when she's serious, look better in the anime. Little details like the sparkles that trail her when she moves, and the sound effects while she attacks make her so much more impressive and beautiful. The pacing and speech allow you to really see how much her parents love her while the flashback progresses. I'm really glad that Kanroji is your favorite because she got an amazing adaptation for you to experience.

Thank you and honestly I am over the moon!! I can’t wait to finally be able to buy the manga. I’m such a huge fan of hers because I definitely see myself in her. I’ve mentioned this before but out of all the anime’s I’ve watched, she perfectly encapsulates what I want to be. Cute AND strong and just pure hearted! 🥺🩷

Aaahh that makes so much sense. And I didn’t even get to notice the difference between Tanjiro and Tokito’s mark but you’re absolutely right. And the mark she has on her neck is exactly like her sword’s hilt!

To enforce your opinion: another reason I think the anime is better, especially for Kanroji, is how they employ her silly expressions and panicky inner monologue _during_ battle. While she also does this in the manga, the anime really leans in on it. It makes her look a little more silly and a little more goofy, and it she's STILL a badass and still one of the most terrifyingly powerful characters in the series. (I usually refer to her surname because I think it sounds so cool. You can use Mitsuri if it suits you better.) Oh, and I really love your blind reactions, so if you wanted a reason to hold off on reading the manga, there you go. And again, since I think the anime is better I don't think you're really missing out on anything.

I've never heard that saying either, "Damn slip of a girl." It could be a bad translation maybe, or maybe it means something in Japanese, but doesn't mean anything in English? Not really sure.

I’m thinking it’s probably about her boobs almost slipping out?? Like a nip slip? 🙆🏻‍♀️

Jaded_J

lmao did you say puta at the end?

The definition is "a small thin young person", that's why he also said her muscles density doesn't match her frame.

Iguro (snake hashira) has a soft spot for Mitsuri that's for sure. And the fact that the socks she's wearing was a gift from him is kinda cute.

I think the anime is better as well. Leave it to ufotable to go above and beyond!

Well, for once a past that wasn't that tragic. Not that there's no sadness, but she was surrounded by a loved family and friends and they weren't killed or anything. Makes me think it's a bit odd she would be rejected, makes no sense since everyone in her direct environment loves her and she's also considered very attractive in the Demon Slayer squad. Also... she joined the squad at age 17 and then worked her way up to hashira in less than 2 years (she's 19 now)? And pretty much effortlessly is what it looks like. Kinda weird consider just how much effort even the mist hashira put into training. I love her fighting style. But I do think she makes the plot make... less sense. Well, maybe there is a bit more to her backstory. She wields a crazy sword and we know nothing about the history of her breathing style (which I'm assuming is probably her own).
