Finally! The showdown between Arya and that awful pussface from the House of Black and White that we've been waiting for. Very satisfying, to say the least. Elsewhere, the chess pieces continue to move into place leading up to the final two episodes of Season 6, and we got a funny "Bangkok!" (IYKYK) moment between Bronn and Pod the Rod.

Marc and I would love it if you watched this episode, "No One", along with us, and definitely be sure to let us know your thoughts about it if you do. I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/RHb-ULchESI. For those watching the YouTube version, remember that you'll need your own copy to sync up.

One more quick note.. as requested, I have started adding the draft version of the post-episode commentary to these full reactions. The fully edited edition will be included in the public YouTube upload, but this will give you a preview of what's to come regarding our final thoughts. The commentary at the end of this episode will be for Episode 7: "The Broken Man" as well.

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

-David

I think Davos and Brienne are more convincing because it seems obvious to people that they are doing the right thing (as they see it) rather than trying to gain power like every other damn person in Westeros. They aren't particularly threatening without armies behind them. If their requests are denied, there isn't going to be much consequence. If someone like Littlefinger tries to do what Davos and Brienne do, it is obviously for his own gain, and his whole demeanor tells you that he will stab you in the back whether you do what he asks or not. When Davos talks to Lyanna and when Brienne talks to the Blackfish, they are more willing to listen because Davos and Brienne don't really have a dog in the fight. If either of them walked away, the overall situation wouldn't change. If Lyanna or the Blackfish agree to or deny their requests, their personal situations don't change either. They're earnest, non-threatening in a diplomatic setting, and easy to trust. I think it's really interesting to compare them to someone like Varys. He also wants to do the right thing and doesn't have a need for power, but he's sneaky and conniving. The only person he's talked to about his goals is Tyrion, so he comes off as bad as Littlefinger. If I could pick my own Small Council, it would be Tyrion (as Hand), Davos (as Master of Ships), Brienne (as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard), Varys (as Master of Whisperers), Sam (as Grand Maester), Missandei, and Lyanna Mormont (the only two positions left are Master of Coin and Master of Laws, and I trust either of these ladies to do whichever job they're given). Who would you pick of the characters that are left at this point? I hope you can get to the next two episodes soon! I think they are my favorites (pretty sure I'm in the majority on that one), and I can't wait to see your reactions.

I really wanted to know where they filmed Arya running through the streets of Braavos. I assumed it was somewhere in Croatia, which is all the info that IMDB had for the episode, but it was actually in Girona, Spain. Check this out if you get a minute: https://www.gameofthronesspain.com/film-location/girona.php

It's pretty cool all the different locations they use for the show. There are cast members that never meet because not only are they not in any scenes together, but they are on different continents. There are still parts where I can't wait for you all to see. ;-)

Interesting!! Espana, huh?? Ok then, question answered! Thank you so much, and thanks for the link! That's beautiful :)

That's a great point about the cast members.. I remember seeing photos from wrap parties where they would be so excited to see one another. It's also why I have always enjoyed the Golden Globes - stars from tv and movies together with alcohol, all fan-girling out over each other. The best!

I havne't watched an award show in years! like decades even! You and Marc should do a live stream of the Golden Globes. I would watch it live for once. LOL
