S'up Awesome Patrons! Memorial Day is coming up next week, so I thought we'd pit last year's runner-up (Hacksaw Ridge) against a new contender. Your pick!

OH GOD! How do I choose! I'm sure Hacksaw is going to win because newer, but Flags is great.

I'll be happy to see you react to Hacksaw too...it's amazing as well. Probably a better movie than Flags but Flags and Letters never get any love from reactors. As much as I enjoy 1917 and Saving Private Ryan, and the movies deserve all the accolades they receive, they are completely made up stories. There are far FAR too many real life stories from WWII and other wars that need to be told. I bet few people know about the time Nazi Army forces banded with American forces to defend a castle against an S.S. extermination squad. Midway, with Woody Herrelson, is another true movie you should check out too...it's not a perfect representation of the battle but if shines a light on some of the heroism.

Pam and Mike Thompson

I haven't seen either but voted for Flags of Our Fathers based on the cast.
