*Patreon EXCLUSIVE REACTION* I would like to extend a big THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to our latest Legend's Tier Pick winner, *SARA FAUTH*, for her suggestion of Safety Not Guaranteed. Much like The Final Girls last month, I had never heard of Safety Not Guaranteed until Sara recommended it. Once she mentioned Aubrey Plaza and Jake Johnson however, I was SOLD. It also stars Mark Duplass, who is someone I am just discovering from The Morning Show.

I've provided the unblurred original with my commentary up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred watch along version can be found here: https://youtu.be/0jqHvMQCl5A. For those opting to do the watch along version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the movie to sync up with my reaction.

Thanks again to Sara and to ALL of you incredible Patrons for your support! I hope that you enjoy this reaction :)

Yay!!! I LOVED it. It didn't get me weepy, but I could see where it would tug harder at my heartstrings on a re-watch, knowing the gist and being able to just watch/enjoy ;)

I am SO GLAD you loved it! I did still cry at the end but 1. I have a lot of regrets in my past and 2. Any movie or show that is about like ... normal every day life things, just about characters going through stuff, and then at the very end you get a payoff where like, magic DOES exist, or the impossible thing IS real amid our normal world, whooooooo that always gets me. I cry at movies about Santa, too, for the same reasons lol. So this movie is based on a meme, which came from a REAL ad in a REAL classifieds section of a newspaper. Some internetty person found the ad and started circulating it on like, probably 4chan or something with a photo of a guy with a sick 80s mullet, and then it got really popular on the site ytmnd.com which were kind of just memes set to music? So it was the ad with the guy with the mullet and the song HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONEEEEE and for the chronically online it was really well known. And somehow they managed to take it and make this lovely movie that's kind of just about people being people, both living in the moment and living in the past, about regrets and about hope and they got a *chef's kiss* cast to star in it. I'm so glad you liked it, truly <3 Also, no one ever gets my last name pronunciation right but you nailed it! YEAH! lol Hope everyone's doing well over your way and thanks for watching this :)

Ok well now I want to REWATCH this with what you said in mind!! That's beautiful the way you described it, and I am right there with you on Santa movies. I don't usually cry at them that I remember, but I definitely get a burst of emotion, hope, joy all at once. So I can see where that could happen! And I love the backstory!! Thank you for that. This is one of those situations classic double-edged sword situations I experience all the time here on the channel: on one hand, knowing the backstory or inspiration to a lot of these movies/shows ahead of time would make me really appreciate them or register more with them; but on the other hand, I like to go in either completely blind or what I call "legally blind" (where I've seen the poster, the trailer, maybe know the premise, etc.). Either way, sounds like I need to do a rewatch to enjoy it again and bring these details you've mentioned with me :) Oh thank God about your name, btw. I always worry about that haha. And again, I am so glad you brought this movie into my life and that you are here on Patreon. You rock!
