Well there goes our weekend, Patrons! Yesterday Marc got diagnosed with Influenza A, and then today I joined in the fun. Unfortunately that means that I have to cancel our Live Watch of Taskmaster/Derry Girls tomorrow, but I will reschedule for next weekend. We also had planned to watch the next two Squid Games and the last 4 Heartstoppers today and tomorrow evening, so those will be delayed as well (but probably just until mid-week or so). As of right now now, we're both actually doing pretty good considering- just coughing and fever- so I don't expect to be down for too long. I will keep y'all posted though!!

Anybody else fighting or fought the flu this season? Any advice besides good ol' drugs?

Hope you feel better soon. I get my flu vaccines every year so not suffering as much as you guys, but I do have a cold right now. Tired and stuffy. Rest up as much as you can ❤️

Had it a couple weeks ago, but didn't get a whole lot of respiratory stuff, just felt like got hit by a truck, bad headaches and body aches. So for me it was a LOT of sleeping, sipping water, and broth and tylenol.

I am SO sorry the plague found its way to you. Apparently I had "stealth plague" as it did not show up on a test. Hope you find some good viewing for rest, comfort & chicken noodle soup. At 50 I can still throw on old Price is Right & have some soup & somehow still feel like I'm missing school. 😂 Lots of support and hopes you feel better. Or at least stay reasonable & stable. ❤️🙏🏼❤️🐈‍⬛❤️🙏🏼🐈‍⬛

It went through our house one by one. Fortchunatly I only had aches and fatigue for a couple days but the rest had it for a week and are still coughing. They say the alka-seltzer sever cold has seemed to help them.

Hope you both feel better soon! Me and my husband had it over Christmas which sucked. I can only advise rest and fluids, with something chill and/or familiar to watch. I went through all 7 series of Mortimer and Whitehouse gone fishing over 5 days lmao.

Yea unfortunately it’s not always fully effective as the virus in circulation doesn’t always match the strain in the vaccine. Wishing you a speedy recovery. At least you have each other!

Ibuprofen all day! Had it a few weeks ago and it hit me like a truck. Body aches, headache, cough, etc. Sleep, lots of fluids, and ibuprofen are your best friends. I hope you all feel better soon 🩷

Thank you!! Yeah, one of the meds that the dr prescribed me was the 800mg Ibuprofen. I like to think that the pharmacy technician saw the order come through on the screen, looked up at the pharmacist, and they both nodded at one another. The good stuff.

Oh bummer! Get well soon, my friends. Mike and I both had minor colds/covid a few weeks ago. Our fevers never got higher than 99.5 or so, but the worst for me was the sinus headache. I felt like I'd been hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat.
