“What is up with the hair?” “He’s probably having a personality disorder.” As someone with dyed red hair and a diagnosis of two personality disorders, I feel so called out 🤣🤣🤣 I’m SO annoyed at him for turning around at the end. I mean it obviously makes me hyped for series 2 which I know NOTHING about. But ughhh, his poor daughter. Has he learned nothing? He’s realised money holds no real value in this world. His daughter is the only person left in this world who he loves. Those last few seconds just made me hate him so much. I don’t think I’ll be rooting for him in series 2 honestly. Maybe my view on this will change, but we’ll see. Great reaction chaps. Looking forward to the next 🦑

That must be some good hazard pay! And of course we called you out with that comment about dyed hair and personality disorders. We wanted to make sure we got to talk to you in the chat ;) hahaha

So I watched Squid Game for the first time with you guys, and I'll come along for the ride if you do season 2. I really enjoyed this series when it stuck to simple entertainment, but I have to say, when it got into more serious issues, I felt it fell short compared to a lot of work done before it. There was a lot of moralizing that I didn't like, and some contrived plot points that clearly existed just to add drama (e.g., his mom dying when he returned, or the old man dying right at midnight to make that forced point about human faith). The other thing is, a lot of its commentary felt off-base to me. I'm a huge opponent of income inequality, so I'm definitely not on "team plutocrat," but most studies show money does correlate with happiness. And yeah, rich people can get bored, but so do poor people who have bigger problems alongside that... there's nothing inherently profound about that comparison. But again, I DID enjoy it despite all that and would love to see you guys continue with this.
