As usual, the fictional source mixes from several IRL sources. I see elements from Maid-sama, Ouran High School Host Club and Maria Watches Over Us. Each of the cosplay source stories have some bearing on Gojo and Marin's story. Some are metaphors of their state, some foreshadowing. In this arc it is very obvious. Koyomi serves as a metaphor for Gojo and Rei for Marin. Gojo is not feeling worthy yet and Marin is stymied at expressing her feelings in a believable way due to her past antics. Musings by Daenon did a video essay on it ,but I wouldn't watch it if you don't want to be spoiled as it covers the whole manga. If I were forced to make the very hard choice of a favorite arc of the manga, this one we’re starting would be it. You can already see the impact it will have on Gojo's growth and the hints about the direction Marin’s character arc will take.

I also would just like to say that seeing the haikyu scheduling slip is extremely disappointing. I subbed for haikyuu, and it seems like every haikyu post is "it's mon/fri, wait tue/thu, wait not this week at all; Haikyu is back!". Guess i'll just unsub.

Same I was kinda like you know trying to cope that she is probably busy which is why there is no haikyuu yet so I can watch the previous upload but seeing how there is none still when its already saturday…. I can’t defend that anymore

Damn, you're assuming a lot about me. Two problems: 1) Jami said she would put out 2 eps of haikyu/week, and has lately given half of that, if not less. I am not getting what I am paying for, so I am voicing my frustrations. If she did this for free I really couldnt complain, but i am paying her for a service. 2) do you think time works differently when I am not paying a monthly sub? And at this rate I'll have to wait longer than i would otherwise, so it's actually more waiting, not less.

Yup I subbed before for Black Clover stuff now that has stopped as well at least she reacts to Haikyuu but now the schedule isn’t being held up either I want to support her but knowing how some patreon people work well I am not going to say more or people will crucify me here for stating my opinion

Therefore, it makes sense to relieve him from the heavy work duty, so that he can concentrate on the high stakes game. Allow me a military simile, since I think it clarifies this.
