So I guess OP is on break for 2 weeks, will be posting ep 1145 in a couple of days, Once OP returns (besides the first weekend I will be out of town) but will go back to watching the ep Monday or Sundays. Fell a bit behind from being sick the entire week, this ep I had low energy while watching it. ;( but it was an awesome ep regardless.

To answer your question at 7:09 you are right. They are based on actual Japanese Yokai folklore monsters. Warcury’s is based on a Chinese folklore, but a bit Japanese as well

That whole scene of Luffy confronting the Gorosei is insane and left me speechless by the sight. I was just like you JamiUwU at 7:31 I also thought they were just powerful ppl that didn’t have powers or anything and just needed to b protected but we both were wrong lol

Yeah, I doubt that we're going to beat the Elders here; this is going to be a Big Mom from Whole Cake situation. In that Oda is giving us a sample of what the Straw Hats will have to deal with in the future, much like how Whole Cake gave us (through Big Mom and her crew) a sample of what the power of an Emperor is capable of, while foreshadowing the upcoming threat. In the case of Linlin, the story's like: "we barely escaped the wrath of a Yonko, now we're going to have to actually beat one (i.e. Kaido in Wano)". It's the same deal here, Oda is making us ask: "if this is what the Gorosei can do, how are we going to deal with Imu..."
