I'm not sure if you are meming with the "CLOROX" title or you mistyped or something. Still pretty funny either way.

The good thing about the additions to the anime is that the author is involved with all the new stuff we get. The manga had a horribly rushed final battle, which the anime has already improved upon and added extra information that only existed in some light novels

MangoBuster

Kubo has been heavily involved in this entire anime. The manga has massive issues because of his poor health, so in short you could say this anime is the "definitive" version of this arc. I think before this season aired they said like 60% of the content would be new. Ive been waiting to see kanpachi's bankai for 10 years lol this anime has been FANTASTIC. Absolutely CANNOT wait to see how they change the final parts/the ending. Also knew you were gonna think adult toshiro was hot lol

Castiel_01x

You can prop up the anime without being negative about the source material, you know? While it is rushed, Kubo has used that rushed aspect to his advantage in a meta way to help the narrative.

Castiel_01x

The final battle is rushed, but for a manga battle (considering the circumstances, it is good?). It was short due to the circumstances, but it only helped the narrative? So I don't think it's horrible. The anime has not even adapted that material, so how has it been improved? And IIRC, the only additional material that's exclusive to the anime was not even in the light novels. The anime does make some things explicit, but those were already in the manga. Subtexts are just as important as texts.

That is just not correct, certain things that have been explained in the anime were revealed only in the cant fear your own world novel or kubos club outside talks

Sorry about the long comment, but there's a lot to talk about in these two episodes. "The power to rival the gods" - Aizen Sosuke about Orihime Inoue. I love Ichigo's maturity, conviction and how he is prioritising things. Based on what happened in the Fullbring arc (I'll explain as the OG anime went with a completely different tone, which was so bad but understandable as it was the final episode of the OG series), Ichigo basically warned Soul Society that he is not a fan of their way of work, as he is referring to their usage of the Combat Pass, and he would go against them if they continued it. So Yhwach is testing his allegiance and his ideals through the Ichibei revelation, but Ichigo has grown so much that even if it is against his ideals, he knows how to prioritise, especially with what is at stake here. So it is not that Ichigo does not care; he would actually, as becoming the Soul King is anything but him, but he is not going to let Yhwach waver his conviction through this. Yhwach did the same at the start with Orihime by saying she can't fully reject him, only for her to prove him wrong. Gerard's power is so interesting and abstract. He's the heart of the Soul King. And on a conceptual level, he is literally like the hero of the story, using the hope of the people and using that even further to rain down despair when hope shatters through his blade. Kubo said the form is called Half Hollow Ichigo, but I'd like to call it Horn of Salvation, as that was the name of the chapter title of this material. That is what the fandom has been calling it for years, too, and it is fitting, I'd say. What is interesting about this form is that Ichigo has taken in everything that he has learned throughout his journey, has embraced it, self-actualised through that and is now donning those elements as he has always done with his power. The marking is similar to Ulquiorra's, showing how the Lust chapters had an effect on him and the same horn as Merged Zangetsus, just like what we saw during the Final Getsugatensho training. It's so good. But the best thing about it is that it is still Ichigo despite these changes, unlike what happened during Mugetsu. Ichigo still has his features in this form, but that was not the case with Mugetsu. It was seemingly portrayed that Mugetsu is a form of enlightenment, but that could not have been, as we don't recognise the Ichigo we knew in that form; that's not the case here. IMO, Mugetsu is a step towards enlightenment, but a fake one nonetheless; HOS is enlightenment in its truest form. Basically, Yachiru is Kenny's zanpakuto spirit. It was hinted at several times throughout the story: the Ichigo vs Kenpachi fight, the Kenny vs Nnoitora fight, Kenpachi's flashback with Yachiru (she literally touches the sword the moment when Kenpachi asks her where she came from) and Isane noticing that Yachiru's Shikai is not normal compared to other Soul Reapers. She also said, "If you use me properly," which essentially confirms it. Kenpachi's Bankai is so epic but also so emotional for me because of what it represents, given the relationship between Yachiru and Kenpachi. Even if she's there with him, I think he would still miss her, just like Unohana. I feel so bad for how lonely he would be. Yachiru's eyes reflect the zanpakuto Kenpachi always had before his awakening. That is such a cool detail. Kenpachi's body being unable to handle the power was hinted at earlier by Gremmy's defeat. It was also established by now through several scenes that attaining Bankai is not enough, as you also need to master it. Also, she disappeared the moment Kenpachi unleashed his Shikai against Gremmy, as she saw that moment. The mechanics behind Kenny and Yachiru are influenced by the conceptualisation of his ideals and identity. Yachiru tried to connect with him on her own, but he could not hear her. Kenny also "regressed" after his fight with Unohana the first time, which did not help his case. As for her persona since then, it is down to what Kenpachi did. He gave her the name Yachiru and imprinted an essence into her psyche, as names have power in them, just like Ichibei said. With Toshiro, Shawlong assumed that his Bankai is timed, but Hitsugaya never corrected him, so we, as viewers, thought that was the case. But we saw after the fight with Shawlong that Toshiro's body could not handle his Bankai, just like Kenny when all the petals were gone. There was another hint about this form during Toshiro's fight vs Harribel. Another hint towards this adult form is when Toshiro said that he had achieved True Bankai after the fight with Aizen, but he must look forward to retraining the basics after losing his Bankai to Cang Du. The reason why Toshiro does not like this complete form is that it is a shortcut. He has not attained enlightenment in his character arc. Byakuya's evolved Senkei might seem underwhelming compared to the other two, but it shows how he has achieved the next step in progression. His Senkei, while being effective against other foes, was also caging him in it as well, but since he knows more about himself, he is now able to use that cage on others specifically. I can't express how much I love that Orihime Ichigo moment. Their arcs, coinciding for a long time, finally culminate at this point. It is so good. The way the shine came back to Orihime's eyes when Ichigo assured her was perfection. There's even a heart in her eye which is so wholesome. Then there's another great moment when Ichigo says he is still not able to call out this form at will. This shows that self-actualisation is a constant journey and there are no end points to it. The anime is cooking with the meta elements. The episode ends at the very moment when Ichigo cuts through the story (as Yhwach has become one with the narrative). Additional info that was in the manga: Since Ichigo is zen at the moment and there's balance within his soul, he absorbed Yhwach's Quincy spiritual pressure to unbalance it, thereby releasing the Hollow outside, hence the form. I think the poem at the end between Ichigo and Orihime mirrors Isshin's and Masaki's poem in Cour 1.

Can't fear your own world is a Light novel that takes place after the TYBW and club outside is a forum page where the author answers fan questions

Castiel_01x

Ik, that was not my question. I was asking about the info that was revealed in the anime, which is only available in CFYOW or Klub Outside.

Things such as Ywach true plan was not explained much, ichibe had his plans revealed in the novel and not in the Manga. Plus other things I cant really talk about since it would be spoilers

Castiel_01x

Yhwach's plans were revealed in the manga at the end. But it was not looked at in this episode (it has already been stated/alluded to in previous Cours), so I don't understand why you mentioned it here. Ichibei's plans for Ichigo were explicitly revealed in CFYOW, but it was always there in the manga. That's why I said subtexts are just as important as texts.
