I can’t wait for season 2 it’s definitely my favorite between the two

Frdrt -

Your comments kinda got cut at the end though :/

SalmonYu

Please react to the ova and the movie. The ordering is memory snow then frozen bond.

JamiUwU

Oh no!!!! Idk how that happened 😩😩😩

JamiUwU

Guys my comment got cut short so I will just include it in my YT version for the full review idk why it did that. If I have extra time tonight I’ll reupload the video here

Nothing

Movie next 🥳🥳🥳

Stevetheiguana

The OVAs are nice and set before S2, however they aren't completely necessary for watching S2

D Reed

I want see more of Julius and Subaru in the future, they seem like they’d be good friends. also I like Emilia but it still stings to see Subaru say what rem said to him to Elf girl lol. On another note, any plans to watch the ova and the movie? Even if you don’t react to them, they’re still a nice little watch

Ian Kirk

Never cared for this finale. The show has its moments for sure but a number of times I'm left feeling somewhat entertained on the first watch through but anything after that becomes very boring.

Riri

Definitely watch the OVA and movie! The OVA is very fun, and both (especially the movie) adds to Emilia's character, yet lots of reactors skip both.

JamiUwU

*ATTENTION the mega link actually has my review* streamable for some reason cut my video short

Lye Batenkaitos

i saw your review in the streamable link tho

hotyaznboi

Wow that ending was a bit rough for my boy. Subaru "I love you. I really love you! Like crazy! I want to be with you all the time. I want to hold your hand all the time. If you name ten things you hate about yourself, I'll say two thousand things I love about you." Emilia "Let's just be friends".

Ambridge

well emilia BARELY knows who subaru even is, its more normal she didnt fall in love with him at the moment ( its why i dont ship rem it feels forced even if its cute) , and also a very good explanation behind emilia, like shit if helping a girl out = getting with her i should have at least 60 wifes by now

Ambridge

i feel like she should just watch season 2, THEN the ova/movie since lets be real we all rather watch her react to season 2 then those two until shes done first half of season 2

Gabe

Episode 24: The scene where the kids say they want to ride with Emilia is so precious, I love it. Emilia's cloak has a spell that prevents recognition, you can see the flashbacks of her wearing it a lot when she is with Subaru. Considering the crap she has to face it makes sense that she has that cloak. Betelgeuse is so dramatic. From Subaru buttering him up, to him creepily flying, I just think he always takes the scene he is in. Another one of my favorite endings, Julius calling Subaru his friend. What else is there to say, love seeing how everyone's attitude changes towards Subaru. Good to see them in a different light. Episode 25: Julius is such a bro. As he stabs Betelgeuse, he's like 'yeah Subaru did this'. It's very brief, but Otto has the ability to hear and talk to animals and plants. Which comes in super clutch. I think Betelgeuse actually is a great villain cause he is what Subaru could have become. In love with the idea of doing something for love. Similar to Emilia, the witch rejects Betelgeuse, but he still presses on. 'for love'. Btw, Subaru wrote 'the end' or something like that in Betelgeuse gospel. The gospel is like a vague telling of future events. I consider it symbolic, but some people do theorize it might not be. While I still think Rem is best girl, the last scene is precious. It's really sad to see how low Emilia's self esteem is due to her resemblance of the witch. I also think Subaru rips off a bit of Rem's speech lol. I really love that Subaru stays true to himself and Emilia doesn't just immediately fall in love with Subaru, even if she appreciates Subaru's feelings. There were a lot of points they could have ended it, but I think that's the best they could have left it considering the circumstances. The show had the potential to never get a season 2, so it's good to end at a satisfying part. Also I really do thing 'That's what the story is all about' Subaru struggling for his happy ending in this brutal world. Can't wait for you to continue onto season 2. I personally think Season 2 is better, but it's definitely more confusing so you'll have to have some patience for it.

Lye Batenkaitos

It’s easy to follow as long she focuses, season 2 does need its 1000 iq moments for sure

Shaw

Nice! Re:Zero is one of my favorite anime. I'm glad u enjoyed it.

Shaw

Yes the comments were on point. The movie and the OVA are really good Emilia content.

Ambridge

it did? i didnt think so, i feel like season 1 needed way higher IQ considering most people didnt understand that subaru had disgusting hero complex with the royal selection meeting, or the reason why emilia had him stay in the city and not go back with her, or fact why no body understood why subaru didnt accept rem love at the very moment even though it was thrown everyone face

Ryuuji Gremory

Well Subaru might have taken inspiration of somethings Rem said to him but Rem herself used things Subaru said to her in her speech. Furthermore Subaru just noticed how similar the situations are (in terms of self loathing and low self worth), so he used what he knew helped him in that situation.

Lye Batenkaitos

A lot of people forget about the conditions of the trials of the sanctuary, miss info of the time of wisdom, etc. S2 is definitely more story building

Lye Batenkaitos

No trust me, frozen bonds is very important. Season 2 part 2 will reveal why, so it’s an absolute must watch. Memory snow is not important as it’s just a fun episode but people want her to watch that as well.

Ambridge

i know frozen bond is important for season 2 its why it was released before season 2, but i guess part 2 isnt far off so i guess would be better

Swegkingu

Didn't realise the non-directors cut didn't have the post credit scenes. Excited for Season 2 reactions :)

Cleven Anthony

But real quick can someone bless my soul and tell me where I can download the song at the end or an app that has itttttt it’s so good 😭

Swegkingu

Spotify has it. It's called MYTH & ROID - STYX HELIX

D Reed

You guys ever notice that her face is like 😃😐😃😐😃😐😃😐😃😐😃 lol just watch like 60 seconds of a clip, it’s hilarious

Ruben

It's not easy for some people to keep a smile, especially for people who don't have a resting smile. I do this too. It's also pretty difficult to manage facial expressions on camera.

Riri

As someone who watched the show weekly in 2016, that would have destroyed me for the 4 year wait lol

Biostar

Not to mention moments that lack context sometimes. I know one scene that had a lot of reactors confused.

Gabe

I consider arc 4 to be confusing cause it combines to mystery elements of arc 2 and 3. Subaru has to figure out 'what the hell is going on' and 'how the hell am I supposed to get past this'. Plus it introduces a bunch of new concepts in the world that were glossed over in the first season. I think by the end of the first half you have a good idea whats going on, but on a per episode basis, there is basically another 10 questions per episode you get. Character motivations are another big one.

Phoenix Flame

"Thank you nothing bad happened." Laugh in Director's Cut :D:D:D

Ian Kirk

I'm not sure... I enjoyed it first time but after watching it again I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. The main thing is the mc Subaru... he's such a simp that's cringe.

Lye Batenkaitos

Most anime protagonists that love a girl are considered Simps , but subaru is a great character overall, he’s a man who gets the impossible done. You should watch s2

Ambridge

which makes no sense since he was never a simp to begin with

chtis23407

For the first 2 eps of season 2, watch the OP. Has no spoilers you would get

D Reed

@ruben no actually it’s a good thing, when she’s talking and starts smiling and then it instantly goes away just means she’s paying attention to the words she’s reading lol

S1orys

What you meant is, watch the OP because it's one of the only few chances she'll have. Re:Zero back at it again, removing OPs and EDs for more content.

Jaerek

I mean yeah, the entire first season is about breaking down his shitty toxic masculinity & idealization of Emilia. Saying he's "cringe" and a "simp" feels a bit shallow in context of what the show is trying to accomplish, like saying "Forrest Gump was pretty dumb and cringe".

Jaerek

Yeah the OP only plays like twice in Season 2 lol

Ian Kirk

Yea your right it is shallow. I just can't get over how simp/cringe it was for him at the start of season 2 to nervously try to tell Emilia that Rem confessed to him and that he wasn't interested. Like why does she need to know that? I still cringe thinking of that scene.
