I haven't read the light novel. But I think they skipped over some set up in season 1, so this first episode has a lot of exposition to catch you up.

I read the ln awile ago and if i remember correctly they skipped very little. Overlord just jast some strange arc starts.

Key on Running

Good ear picking up the Goku voice for that character. Yes take notes more characters will be introduced this season. First episode did do alot of talking to explain what everyone is doing from season 1-2. Great reaction and enjoy your content!

They only intended to make 1 season, so this was intended for some catch up. Also they skipped a lot of detail which is a big part of the Overlord novel. E.g. the two people in the beginning are godkin, descendants of the 6 great gods. While not as strong as the gods, they are still stronger than normal and are kept a secret from the rest of the world.

This season is a little slow and world building heavy but it ends really well so I hope you keep at it :) I'll be here for every episode .

Ah is the lizard arc. Some like it, some don't. I have mixed feelings about it.

Here we go with Overlord: Game of Thrones edition where there's a lot of stuff happening at once.

I feel like this season will be a "make it or break it" type scenario for you

I want to initiate a specific thought process, where you pay attention to details. The burger scene is a reminder. The menu of Nazarick was influenced by real players, so it stands as a reminder for that specific influence. Now rewind back to the rubiks cube, something left behind by the six gods, something out of this world, that impacted the people in this new world.
