Nah, I definitely know Luffy is dealing the final hit on Kiado. He's always defeats the boss by himself. Now he definitely gets assistant here in there but the fight eventually becomes 1v1 with Luffy vs main bad of the arc. So, I don't see now of all arcs for someone else other than Luffy beat the boss. But I definitely see Zoro dealing some damage on Kaido.

2026-10-08 22:00 ya it's always been Luffy who will defeat Kaido because this was the deal since the beginning. Punk Hazard -&gt; Dressrosa -&gt; Zou -&gt; Wano. Luffy will probably get help from Zoro but it's Luffy who promised Momo in Zou that he will take down Kaido.

others have had that theory to that zoro will defeat kaido or at least do the finishing blow. i have a hard time believing he will "beat him" and i always expect Luffy to but i could see it being a team effort and zoro having a huge impact

I believe that you're right, that it will be like the Smaug moment from the Hobbit or that final battle from the Dressrosa arc, in which Zorro (and possibly Law) will create a flaw in Kaido's impenetrable defense that Luffy will be able to exploit even with his imperfect control of the new Haki.

plus he wouldn't be learning that new haki for nothing. its not for jack, queen, or king. kaido. its going to be a group effort and Zoro is definitely going to need an upgrade as the future king's right hand to defeat the beast that's aiming for the throne.
