2026-10-08 22:00 First half of episode was pretty good, but second half I didn't like it. It was pretty much Emilia saying that Subaru is a liar and Subaru saying that loves Emilia... so annoying, seems like two childs fighting for no reason. The kiss scene was well done, but I can't ignore before that.

i mean honestly ive talked to girls who have traumatized experiences in the past with relationships or whatever and they try to fight back the ability to trust someone ever again even when the person who wants them to trust them has nothing but good intentions. so they ask constantly why do this for? i never asked you to do this for me? you barely know me? you broke your promise? etc..also emilia and subaru are only like what 15? so they are children lol

Subaru is 18 and Stella is over 100 (at least that’s what I heard) but maturity wise she’s similar to Subarus age

It is Otto like the English pronunciation. It's just that the Japanese Language quirk makes most VAs say it as Oh-Toe. Kinda likes how most of the Fairy Tail VAs say Oración Seis incorrectly.

Subaru is 18, but he's in high school and skipping school? Tf you make no sense. Unless 2-3 years has passed in the other world he's in. Okay so he's 17 in arcs 1-4. We are in arc 4 right now in the anime. Still a kid basically lol

Emilia felt betrayed and abandoned. Understandably since she's basically lost all the family she had and people kept going on about promises to her. Not to mention she's been going on her whole life with people hating and fearing her because of her resemblance to the witch and at this point she truly has a difficult time believing in herself let alone believing anyone could actually have feelings for her. The anime doesn't mention this but she doesn't even really understand what love is since she's mostly been met with resentment. Right now Subaru's trying to convince her that despite her flaws she's still a wonderful person. He's convincing her that she can be loved and that there is someone genuinely willing to believe in her and sometimes having someone to love and believe in us is all really need. If you actually take the time to understand themes and the message it's a very strong episode for both of their characters.

Oh yeah I also forgot that in season 1 it's explicitly stated that promises are considered very important to spirit arts users. They're basically considered sacred pacts and she just had two people very close to her break a promise. It's no small thing for her

@vash dude, Subaru told felt he was 18 in episode 3 and then he told Emilia he was 18 in memory snow to. It’s been a minimum of 1 1/2 months in lugunica, assuming his birthday hasn’t passed he is still 18, there’s a difference between 15, 17 and 18, Subaru isn’t just a kid anymore, he’s an adult. Not sure where you got 15 from lol. Like I said I’m not sure about Emilia but it’s clear she’s mentally around the same age as him.

@D Reed He's actually 17 in Arcs 1-4. He told Felt he was *turning 18* that year. You can check his wiki page if you want.

I love that clash of emotions so much, they both really poured their hearts out there. Emilia feeling lost because the starting point of her life feels all wrong with those new memories flooding in, and Subaru bringing up his mother's wisdom was really nice. :)

If we are talking about Emilia, she's biologically 18 or so. Satella on the other hand is like 400+, since she was the one who killed all the other Witches, and we know that the Witches were still alive 400 years or so ago

That lover's quarrel segment had some of the dumbest pieces of dialogue I have seen in a show. And shouting does not equal good drama. So many anime shows are clueless on this front. Its embarrassing to watch.
