🔥This Episode was EPIC.  It's interesting what they are doing this season compared to others especially getting both point of views in this war.  It really shows the disparity in both situations and it isn't just one sided anymore.  Attack on Titan's storytelling really makes the me as the viewer question who is really the bad guy in this situation.  There really isn't a good or bad that is how I am looking at this season (others might view it differently and that's okay) because I feel like that is their goal is to make us question and decide who we want to root for.  I can't wait to see how the future episodes conclude this battle. 🔥

I don't know why you are saying that Eren is a monster lol, the Marley country is working like a Nazi society, people of paradise lived in ignorance and fear for at least 100 years while the people of Marley were safe because of the power of the titans, they needed to attack fast and secure the other titans so they can come back to paradise and tell to the world again to not mess with us again...

The reason that Reiner's titan looks different is because he is not fully healed, but it's also symbolic.Showing that Reiner's form is more human looking shows his humanity while Eren's form looks more monstrous since he's losing his humanity. Reiner had to gain his humanity to help protect his allies while Eren had to let go of his humanity to keep moving forward.

reality doesn't work that way. That way of thinking just amplifies hate and makes an attack even more likely. Even more so because the world fears an Eldian Empire even more than Marley and would likely take Marleys side to stop a potenzial rise of Eldia.

When reiner and the others were killing everyone in paradis Island no one was bitching about how it was fucked up or called them monsters but when eren gets sick of it and lets go of his humanity in order to fight for his people, everyone starts calling him a monster 😂😂 this is a war and the leaders have to let go of mushi feelings and become cold blooded to win freedom... there is no nice guys in war, there are only monsters from both sides and I for one stand with the monster Eren has become thanks to the Marley. People need to stop being soft man. Look back at our history and you'll see that in every war any country has had they had to do evil and heartless shit in order to win and give their people freedom.

Sitting safe with there Titans abusing that power to make the lives of the ppl on paradis hell & ultimately if eren doesn’t do this he and his friends will never be free. Never forget that Marley was always planning to go back and try to take the founding titan again all eren did was repeat what Reiner did and also defend paradis from marleys declaration of war. Yeah you just like them. because of what? I don’t think it is lost on him. Every one wants to treat gabi and co like aww we feel so bad but in reality gabi and co are a reflection of the fear and anguish that eren and his friends felt when Reiner and friends launched that unprovoked attack which took everything important from them. Personally I don’t see eren as a monster; he’s doing what he has to do to win and earn his freedom and it’s not like they was gonna leave them alone they literally declared war on them. So Marley quite literally created this so called monster

The difference between Eren and Reiner is that Reiner was brainwashed and taught as a child to do those things and that Paradis Island is evil. Eren knows everything and CHOSE to do it anyway. Reiner is literally having a mental breakdown on all the shit hes done. And no, just because they side with Reiner don't mean nothing. There is no wrong side here. Yes, the Marley's treated Eldians like shit and brainwashed people to believe Paradis is an island of devils. But could you blame them completely? Eldian history is filled with them doing the same exact thing to other races. The Eldians were pretty much the Nazis back in their time. They purged other races because they had the power of the titans. The Marleys were more like the Jews that were once persecuted and now the tables have turned. The whole world (just like ours) hates the Eldians(Nazis) for what they've done in the past. Their crimes have never been forgiven even til this day. If a person strolls down the street and is affiliated with Nazis, what do you think the first reaction most will give him? Even though the descendants of Eldians did not do anything, the whole world had been scarred by Eldia's rampage to be healed so easily. While I agree with Eren's determination and that one way to stop the cycle is to literally end the rest of the world, that doesn't make him anything less than a true devil. He will take his freedom even if it meant ending the freedom of others. At that point, there's no right or wrong. Everyone is just fighting to survive.

I understand that, but don't forget that the normal Eldian Marleyan's have nothing to do with this, they literally live in ghetto concentration camps, enslaved by their government and treated like second class citizens. None of those families or innocent kids had anything to do with the attack on Paradis or even to do with the Maryleyan government. I want to see all Eldians coming together and taking down the Marley system.

No most likely they'll make the last couple chapters into a movie, I think a film will be better so that they don't have to struggle like they did animating the first 16 episodes in 8 months, Mappa needs a break man they brought out like 5 animes in a single year think about the hell they'll go through animated the last couple of chapters of the manga if you are caught up to it

I am reading the manga and I'm still siding with Eren. Eren is the hero in my eyes so that Paradis can live in peace in the future by becoming the enemy of humanity! Don't call a hero a monster when he sacrificed so much of his emotions in return for freedom for Eldia! Don't forget that his time is limited... I honestly don't feel bad for the Gabi and the others because this is war that they provoked years ago!

Eren is fine with killing everyone else in the world just so the people of Paradis can live peacefully. Obviously, the rest of the world isn't ok with that. There's no right answer to the overarching problems in AoT. Yes, the Paradis Eldians are justified in wanting to fight for their freedom but does that also make it OK for them to commit genocide against the rest of the world? Two wrongs don't make a right. Now imagine that the Nazis, Taliban, or some other equally atrocious group of people all escaped to a remote island and possess the equivalent of a world-destroying nuke that they can activate at any time and to top it off, they're all capable of transforming into man-eating monsters. That's how the rest of the world has been conditioned into seeing Eldians. OF COURSE they fear them, OF COURSE they want to get rid of them. The whole point of AoT is that there is no clear cut "good" or "bad", just people fighting for what they believe in to sruvive

I think you are forgetting that the whole world declared war against Paradis before Eren's attack. So it didn't matter if Eren attacked or not they were going to wipe out Paradis anyway. So I'm not feeling any remorse for those people that are okay with wiping out a whole island because one man said so after the biggest lie in Marleyean history was revealed...

@Alex Ramos Ok and what about all the grieving families in Liberio who just lost their loved ones in the battle with the Mid East Federation that Eren just killed? Are we only supposed to feel bad for the people in Paradis and not for them, even though they've done literally nothing wrong and are also discriminated against and living in fear within walls of their own? Isayama has said that's the whole point of AoT, there's no definitive "right" or "wrong" side, just people doing what they have to to survive amidst conditions and circumstances out of their control.

@Jose are you joking??? Do you not remember how much everyone HATED Annie, Reiner, and Bert during Seasons 1 and 2 when we didn't know anything about their motivations? Literally every anime-only was screaming for their deaths, calling them monsters, and rooting for Levi and Eren to rip them apart.

Well if you want to talk history, the Eldians provoked everything first. They enslaved the rest of the world simply because they had the power to do so (who can stand against titans in the past). In some ways, the Eldians are like Nazis. It's like how in our world, just by mentioning the word Nazi, everyone would automatically call them evil and devils without really caring about the individual. Their history has been engraved in the hearts of the world, which is why everyone fears and hates Eldians. Not saying anything is right or wrong because it isnt. Eren is necessarily right nor wrong. Neither is Gabi, Macgath or anyone against Paradis Island. Its human nature to fight and keep on fighting and the cycle just repeats.

Do you not understand what context is? They're willing to attack Paradis because Willy just told them that if the Rumbling is used the Titans in the walls will destroy the world. They didn't even know the Paradis Eldian's were peaceful or had their memories wiped until Willy revealed that. They've been living in fear under the assumption that the King in the Walls could just wipe them out at any moment. Your comparison about the Jews not seeking retribution from the Germans doesn't even work in this context since the Nazis never escaped to an island with a world destroying nuke. I imagine WW2 would have ended differently if that had happened instead of the Nazi party dissolving. Also, look up the Nuremburg trials lol.

Exactly. The thing about it is, the reason Eren came in and killed innocent civilians is because that is what Marley and Willy planned. They purposefully held the speech in the internment zone so innocent Eldians would die so they could blame it all on Eren. They knew they would get attacked and made sure innocent people, not just military, would die so the people of Paradis would seem evil. Eren planned to attack, and wasn't going to call off his plan because the Marleyans tried to make it inconvenient for him to do so.

IDK why people keep calling eren a monster. Marley CHOOSE this outcome. If you look back at the past few episodes you will see that Eren was not committed to attacking from the start. You can tell based on his facial expressions during the speech. He seemed like he was willing to talk it out and work for peace, but that option went out the window when willy turned most of the world against him and the paradise eldians. When Mikasa arrives it makes it even clearer that this whole plan revolved around Eren's decision. He Very Clearly Did not want to do this. As for the "innocent Marleyian eldians" i do feel for them, BUT multiple people could have spoken up about the truth on paradise like Rainer, Galliard(who has yimir's memories), Pieck and Zeke. Any of them could have said something Eldians poses the power of the titans. Anyone of them could have chosen to stand up instead of being the dogs of marley. Paradise has been working for 4 years and have other countries of the world that side with them for example the Japanese country (forgot the name) they literally showed up just to make it look like they were attending the speech and left the soon to be battlefield with ample time which makes it crystal clear that they side with Eren. There's obviously more countries siding with them. Yeah feels bad for falco and gabi but this was the path that marley and their fellow senpai eldians chose for them. It's been over a hundred years there's no one alive from the great Titan war only the shifters have memories of that time. Eren was willing to let bygones be bygones in only 4 years after everything he want through, hell he even forgave Rainer and Berthold for what happened, and yet after over 100+ yrs Marley was not willing to work for peace. So yeah calling eren a "monster" after understanding everything makes no sense.

First off Eren WAS committed to attacking no matter what. He literally had sent letters to everyone for weeks getting prepared and he's already seen this outcome. He knew. Secondly you can't possibly believe that people have any chance of just deciding to forgo everything they've learned about the world since growing up. You're probably the type of person who believes they wouldn't have been a nazi if they grew up in nazi Germany. You're also making the type of argument that racists make when they say that black people should've just fought the slavers (this is beyond stupid) lastly it's literally only been about 108 years since the titan war. That's not a lot of time, Betty White is turning 100 soon. This means that not only did it happen very recently but they would've heard about the horrors of it from they're own grandparents who were alive right after it happened who would've heard of it from their parents. Not only that but you seemed to have skipped over the nearly 2000 years of oppression and ethnic cleansing the Eldian empire caused. That shit doesn't just disappear. Marley only attacked the island because they were afraid of losing power against the other nations and believed the islanders were devils because the king and his followers that had oppressed their nation for so long fled to an island and told everyone he'd destroy the world if they tried to fight back. They had every justification for hating the Eldians and now Erens proving them right. And he knows this.

I really like the message of the monsters that you see might hide humans inside (Marley/Reiner), and the humans who you grew up with might hide monsters inside them (Eren).
