That actually does happen in the manga, though it’s not shown until a little later in chapter 971. Not sure if that scene is still gonna happen or if they moved it to here, but we do see him get chased in a panel.

You're right, Orochi and Mingo have very similar stories now that you mention it. Doffy was even worse as a kid since he didn't need to be manipulated into anything, he already had the Celestial Dragon mindset to begin with so was a natural scumbag. Makes me wonder, would you husbando up Orochi if his design was more attractive/hate Mingo if he was designed more ugly? Curious lol

Awesome as always. Since you already saw "the" clash, I highly suggest that you watch and react to Opening 23 (or 22). OP 23 seems to be the GOAT opening for most people (not sure if it's a case of recency bias, but I agree that it's the GOAT opening).

it never ceases to amaze me how consistently people go out of their way to complain about something as small as a scene that is consistent with the Canon story. Thank you for sharing the truth. The anime is merely capitalizing on the opportunity Oda left by filling out a scene.

that old hag was the one who had the fruit's power before Bon-chan got it many years later. eventually she grows too old and dies im assuming and when she does the fruit got reproduced and then Bon-chan found it and got it

as I recall for the Clone-Clone fruit power to work the user needs to touch their face to copy ppl like Bon-chan did in order to change their appearance. I read this scene in the manga but idr clearly did they just forget to include that detail in the anime? (also didnt seen if the old hag touched Orochi's face before copying him so idk if that was glossed over too). Idc about those kinds of details really either way tho just curious

It actually might also be partially the DF that made him so unhinged, too (he didn't seem to have that disgusting laugh before the DF nomming). Since Yamata no Orochi (8-headed Dragon) is specifically an EVIL entity, maybe it partially modifies the consumer's brain as well? I mean, some DFs seem to have some minor modifiers to mental etc characteristics, so maybe this specific DF actually made him (even if only to some extent) worse than he already was due to trauma conga line before eating it? Roger using the Double D. attack ay LMAO (Divine Departure)

One thing we see a good shot of here is one of the biggest question marks left in One Piece IMO. Scopper Gaban. He wouldve been the Sanji Equivalent on Rogers crew and we know so little about him other than he weilds axes and first appeared in Buggys flashback in Chapter 19 along with Rayleigh. Oda has to have some plan for him.
