Fun fact. Gaban full name is scopper gaban and arguably he is third in command after roger and rayleigh.

ChrisCharisma

kinda funny how they portrayed little 10 year old buggy as wounded but still ready to fight against Rogers crew when he basically has been a coward the whole anime

Raiv

oh common Jemmy BB didn't have his DF until recently when the incident when he killed his crew mate like 2-3 years ago when Ace started chasing him

Satorian

In Drum Island, Luffy tells Sanji about a story he'd heard from a man in a bar about a winter island where no one ever sleeps. What are the odds the man was Shanks and the story was about Blackbeard (with possible embellishments)?

Trevor Barnes

This is super important! But don't worry it's not a spoiler! Idk what episode it is, but go to chapter 585 of the manga. It is Luffy's flashback and he is telling Sabo and Ace what his dream is but it cuts away and we see their reactions and they laugh just like oden and whitebeard. Shanks also told Rayleigh once that Luffy said the same things roger used to say. It could be assumed that they both just said king of the pirates, but why would it deliberately cut away each time? Luffy and Roger probably have a shared dream that we don't know about! 🤔

Lester Soto

Even the bandaids are the same spots ... btw it’s episode 496 at the end ... the parallels are amazing

JamiUwU

Yes I know that... lol I even said he didn’t have it now what are you on about lol. What I was talking about is there is a an important correlation between his lack of sleeping and that can go along with his darkness fruit”

Raiv

nothing I just thought you were suspecting ether he has it at the time or not

Hugh Mungus

They definitely didn't say king of the pirates. There'd be no reason to cut away from Luffy saying that, as it's his signature line. As far as Roger, there wasn't a king of the pirates for him to look up to and Rayleigh says that Roger never cared about titles anyway. If they shared the same dream then it's likely something we've never heard about.

B00ch

not hearing what Roger was saying reminds me of when Luffy told Sabo and Ace his dream and we also couldn't hear what he said. i wonder if they're related

Garris Tacheene

There has been many theories about black beard and why he is so different. Marco stated in Marineford that BB's body is not normal. The fact he cant sleep only adds to the mystery. They always cut out when Luffy and Roger state their dream. Its a kids fantasy? we still dont know. Good episode. I wish you would read the correlating manga chapters.

Maginpui

It looks like you're wearing a cool modified soul reaper uniform lol.

wonder777warrior

great episode and great reaction. man this has been a great journey!

so if you want more Oda dropping in hints far back in the series. Blackbear in his childhood drawing show him liveing in a cold island. Lufy told Sanji back on Drum Island, "People in winter winter island do not sleeping.", when sanji asks who told him this "A guy in a bar". Did Shanks tell him that about Blackbeard?

Skebaba

I assume if they sleep, they literally die (like w/ hypothermia in a blizzard as they say)?

How does Roger know that the red Poneglyphs will point him to the last island? This is the reason they give for having oden join to read them.. but how did they know how the red ones works before hand? also how did roger write his message in the gold poneglyph on sky island ( Im assuming that happened before this) Am i missing something? lol. Lastly Im kinda disappointed that roger is so into treasure.. like IDK im praying they dont fuck this up from so many angles.

GotherL

I thought that was Franky's father in the image for a second.

what made you think that roger is into treasure? He said if he reaches the final island he will be the first person who will have travelled the entire world and that will make his pirate crew the best in the world. Where did you interpret the treasure part from??

John S

Roger can hear the "voice of all things". Which means he can basically get little hints from Poneglyphs but cant read them exactly.

Jaded_J

Lol when she said when this flashback is over
