Episode 4 is still my favorite. Good fight, raphtalia telling everyone off, all the curse series stuff, the other two heros show they can have some common sense, and the pay off to the previous episode where he didn’t see her as an adult

Y'know, I kinda just thought that young Raph was an animation error when I watched this for the first time. Nice catch! To think he was literally seeing her as a child that whole time... that's actually kind of funny.

this is where the anime went downhill for me in my opinion lol. i feel like the anime went from serious to silly. i was so hyped after watching episode 4 as well

Not sure if you caught it during the duel but at this time Motoyasu was lvl 43 and Naofumi is only lvl 21

I can't really disagree. I stopped watching halfway cause it felt more like a loli fan service. Doesn't feel as consistent than other Isekais.

The anime sure, but the webtoon and novel were both amazingly well done! The anime took a few things and twisted events a little but I’d always recommend the webtoon. Way better

Yeah I stuck all the way to half way and I dropped it lol. Wish they focused more on serious training for the waves

Yeah these episodes showed there were seemingly no stakes and from this point on it felt like everything works out in his favor every time. Loved the show until this point but watched the rest and it never got better to me.

ppl drop the series because of a few slice of life eps? wtf? hitman reborn had like 20 ep of slice of life before it became serious. ppl that dropped the series missed out on the badassery of naofumi and that all im going to say.

I watched all the way to like 15 and then dropped it. Then I watched episode 20 for when the lit part happened. Tried to finish it and dropped it at episode 23

@Arctioa... it all comes down to opinions at the end of the day. i enjoy shield hero way more then i did slime season 1 (didn't watch 2 yet so no spoilers) and most of season 1 of slime was goofy af anyway but u were able to tolerate it? i almost dropped it because of how goofy it was and a big turned off after finishing shield hero for the first time.

Thanks for the mention of SLIME 2. Gave it a try, it was great. Def better than season 1, it was good still but slower pace.
