they took a break came back, the animations is...different...but it's not as bad as what happened with Sins season 3. I didn't even notice it way back when but have been binging it on hulu because of your reviews so I watched from season to season and it caught me off guard

This isn’t the end of the arc. The arc will continue, they switched studios and that’s why it’s a kinda weird transition. They were on hiatus for a year in Japan.

Yeah but this is the first major time it was stated to be legit the in universe reason for how Natsu and Gajeel were dominating so much. It could just be Sting and Rogue weren't that strong even with dragon force looking back and this is just cathartic sabertooth beating but I can understand why someone would feel that it's a meh win. Anf it really does get worse going forward regardless. Much much worse.... Still most everything else is enjoyable at keast but it can get in the way big time

It’s absolutely a case of natsu and Gajeel just being way stronger than sting and rouge lol. They legit are barely wounded by all their attacks and dominate the entire fight. The one time it looks like they are down they casually get up and act like the worst pain they have is a pulled neck muscle or something. If anything this fight is the anti power of friendship, because it sure as shit didn’t help Sting keep his promise to lechter lmao

i honestly don't understand the frustration of sting and rogue putting up a fight... how boring would it had been if natsu and gajeel one shotted them? wouldn't be the least bit exciting and it would make sting and rogue look like pushovers in the coming arcs. also acnologia is ridiclously strong even by dragon standards so it's not really a good comparison as to how strong or weak the other dragons are... that's like saying all humans are strong because we see how ridiculously powerful gildart is.

fairy tail power of friend ship has became a meme and i used to love fairy tail and watched it 3 times from start to finish (before the final season/arc came out) but now i can't help but cringe watching fairy tail. i feel like in fairy tail, ppl just get stronger for no reason and no buildup whatsoever. hiro mashima could make lucy beat laxus at this point if he felt like it because of the power of friendship. how convient is it for sting to be beating both natsu and gajeel at the same time to now natsu matching rogue and sting while they are in dragon force? sure natsu said that he memorized sting attack pattern ok that's kinda excusable but how about rogue? he didn't even fight him once and all of a sudden he's able to beat dragon force rogue as if he been fighting him this whole time? it just make 0 sense. i get that some ppl or alot of ppl still like fairy tail and ill let them like what they like but at this point in time fairy tail has became a series that alot of ppl are disappointed in. i don't understand how some ppl don't see though the bull shit in natsu in his regular form kicking the crap out of dragon force users. it be one thing if he use his lightning mode or dragon force mode but this? it's lazy writing is what it is. that's like krillin suddenly able to beat up a ssj.

ok? so that makes him able to match dragon force rogue and sting? at first natsu had a tough time with sting and he wasn't even fighting sting alone but now he is able to best both of them dragon force users in a handicap match? at this point i feel like ppl would defend it if hiro mashima made lucy beat laxus by saying "yea but lucy had all her hidden potential unlock which is y she is so strong" like bruh come on now. let's not believe in every bull shit u hear/read and call it a day. a intelligent individual would question it. like i said... natsu beating sting? sure makes sense since he supposedly is able to read his movements but how is he able to handicap both stind and rogue while they are in their forms? and like i said natsu didn't even fight rogue once since he was fighting gajeel... so care to explain how he is able to suddenly fight him and read his movements while also fighting sting at the same time? one word describes fairy tail and that's convenience. it's lazy writing. the thing about alot of ppl and smf is that they take everything the show says or do at face value and barely question things that are thrown their way whether it makes logical sense or not. also whether you like it or not, this series has started the meme for "the power of friendship".

Dude. Just let people enjoy stuff, do you not have any time on your hands? I don’t like Naruto or DBZ but you don’t see me going anywhere and hating on people for enjoying it. Also Natsu said that he was watching Rogues and Stings magic and that’s why he and Gajeel took all of those attacks. Rogue did hit natsu a couple of times. Natsu just watched Rogue and studied his magic. It’s fine if you don’t like FT not everyone is gonna like it’s but you saying that people shouldn’t enjoy is just dumb.

whose hating or who? it's my own personal rant. also rogue didn't move a muscle when he went dragon force and just stood on standby. you mean to tell me that dragon force rogue fights the same way as normal state rogue? obviously dragon force gives the user a tremendous power boost so you can't say "yea but natsu was observing rogue before he went dragon force so obviously when he did go dragon force he got him all figure out" doesn't really work like that. also the difference between fairy tail and naruto/dbz is that fairy tail is one of the most controverisial series to date. that's the difference. i follow the fairy tail manga before the final arc was animated and ppl were raging at how poorly that arc played out and the birth of the power of friendship meme was born with that arc. i honestly was hoping they change some things in the anime when they announced the final arc but nope. im not saying ppl should not enjoy the show. if you did read what i wrote on my last post i literally said that ppl can like what they like but im just giving ppl a history lesson as to y the series is so controversial. also i literally just say i watch fairy tail before the last arc was animated from start to finish 3 times and idk about you but if i don't like something then you bet ur ass that im not going to waste me time rewatching it 3 times. it's not that i hate but it's just me being a critic. that last scene with natsu taking out both sting and rogue with his secret art? why can't it be like a beam struggle to make the win more convincing? but nope it blew past it like nothing was holding it back. even a beam struggle would have been better.

I agree the final FT arc could’ve been better but I did enjoy it for what it was. Even if the final arc wasn’t all that great FT is still my favorite anime of all time. Some of the decisions in the final arc was bad but not every anime is perfect. We just see the fight in two different ways and that’s ok.

idk about you but i feel like the ending is what usually make or break a series. if the ending is bad or underwhelming then well.... everybody wasted their time coughcough..attack on titans.... coughcough. usually ppl watch a show for the journey and if that end of the journey is bad then what is the point?

I kinda agree with Natsu beating down on dragon force Sting and Rogue. Sting and Rogue are just normal powerful dragon slayers. We have seen time and again that Natsu is weak Wizard Saint level even without second origin.

I’m a very emotional and passionate person so I can relate to this anime a lot the emotions are triggering factors for strength boost. Plus some things are given (i.e. Natsu is stronger than Sting and Rogue). So have fun, enjoy the ride and don’t let bitter people spoil the ride for you! Ty for reaction :D❤️

Yeah, this is a weird place to stop an anime and take a hiatus but the anime was getting close to the manga. Episode 175 released the same week as Chapter 325 which was adapted into Episode 190. So the anime was only 15 weeks behind the manga. They had to do something to give themselves a buffer.

whether natsu was stronger or not.... natsu was only using his base power with no power up so him taking out 2 dragon force users is really not that convincing. natsu is strong sure but to be able to take out sabertooth strongest wizards like nothing is not good story telling. natsu could have at the very least use his lightning mode. the way his secret art blew pass the unison combined attack is a joke. they could have had at least a beam clash of some sort. they were hyping those dragon slayers up so much and to have them go down like that is a huge shocker. i can't think of another show where they hype up the villian only to have them be fodders later on. i also make fun of fairy tail because of the power of friendship but apparently that only applies to fairy tail. sting had all these flashbacks and promising his friend about not losing but still got destroyed by an unpowered natsu. the amount of plot armor the show gives fairy tail is insane.

Man I remember when I watched to this point and it stopped airing and I started reading the manga. I think the season ended here because it caught up with the manga and they definitely couldn't just put a filler arc at this point.

I had my apprehensions of this show because I heard they tuned fights like this more often after the tenrou arc, and now I see why. I don't want to ruin the mood but this fight was bad. Why all the build up if Natsu could beat them so easily but instead they have to show one side taking turns getting beat up? I mean, he even ends up beating both of them on his own? Oh well, more pandering to the main character I guess.

Its one of the best fights from a writing standpoint. Anime fights aren't always about kick ass back and forth, clawing to get the win. A good writer knows how to tell a story. The Twin Dragon Slayers have been built up so high, that Natsu and Gajeel come out if this looking like God's. Its meant to show strength progression and how they truly stack up in the thick of it. It was the same with Laxus and his dad. This entire arc was really built around showing how powerful all of the Fairy Tail Wizards are compared to everyone else

It's because Fairy Tail is a thematic manga/anime. It's not about the fights... it's about the reasoning behind them... just like One Piece. If you have seen the whole anime / read the whole manga, you will know why Natsu is a prodigy aswell. Oh and btw the whole thematic of the entire story is just what lucy says in the end of the battle. "the power of feelings - that's what Fairy Tail is about". The whole story is centered around how it doesn't matter how much power you have, if you have no feelings behind that power, it becomes useless and the guy who has feelings behind it (like Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Erza in all of their battles but literally all Fairy Tail memebers) you will win no matter what. It's a theamtic story that's supposed to give you a wonderful feeling of being there for your friends that you love, not what people like you concdier as friends, but actual friends where love exists. If you stop viewing this like a fighing manga like Naruto or Dragonball you are going to enjoy it alot more. Maybe you were never loved and find it hard to understand the concept? If you want a fighting manga don't read fairy tail, go read Hajime no ippo where it's all about technicality of fighting... or Naruto... or Dragonball.. lol. Fairy Tail uses fights as a plot device to further the narrative of the story, whereas Naruto; Hajime no ippo and Dragonball have the fights themselves as the main part of the whole plot of the story. Jeez, the fact that people can't understand this is crazy.
