I have not read the manga, but this season seemed like Senpai's arc (finally admitting his feelings and growing enough as a person to admit them out loud) but since Nagatoro hasn't really done that yet (still reacts with teasing), my guess is that season 2 will be more about Nagatoro and her coming to terms with her feelings. Just a guess. Hopefully a second season will come!
