[Lurker] Merchant's Cog (Patreon)

Hello breezy adventurers! 💙

Sailing along rivers and coastlines is something we are getting into during our own tabletop campaign, and I wanted to share one of the ships we've embarked upon in our journey so far.

The Merchant's Cog is based on designs for an actual cog, taking into account keel, draught, and construction, while also preserving a sense of open space for fantasy representation. It is a three deck medieval-era cargo vessel that travels best across well-traversed maritime lanes. The merchant in question could be anyone who is keen and able to take on passengers for a relatively short journey.

The cog's hold is filled with both cargo and precious materials; from bronze statues of bulls to silks, and even a marble mermaid statue. Meanwhile, complement for the crew requires a day-night shift to accommodate the clear lack of quarters. On medieval ships, space was a luxury, and a bunk was likely shared!

We hope you enjoy!

Files in this set are available in Digital, Print, and VTT formats. The preview image is the Grid_Digital version. There are Day and Night versions!
